Murasamune Screens

Soul Blade -

Although you haven't heard from me or Murasamune staff, we have in fact been working. I will show 3 screens, they are all test levels, the first one showing all the tiles in a somewhat nice manner, while the others get straight to the point.

Heres the first.

The nice house in this screen was made by Fai, the level is kinda garbage, but it shows lots of tiles which is its purpose.
(yes we have a new body, we just need to get the ganis done, so no talk about that

)

Heres the second, it shows the mountain tiles. This level is not detailed at all, it is just a test level with every angle of the mountains.

Heres the last one. Same as the second, this was a test level for the water tiles, has no detail and shows every angle.

NICE!Except the rocks look to purpleish!But everything else is NICE especially the water compared to your old fugly water

I want to see the new character..hopefully it is good...

Heh, yeah Fai did a GREAT job on the house...

Don't worry though...there will be many other tiles. Thats just for the first part...I don't want to give anything away, but it will be good don't worry.

Heh, and the rocks, it didn't match. Do I gave it some plant life

But as I said, thats for that are...not to mention levels won't be detailed so horribly as in that screen.

As for the body, I already said we are using a new one, and if luck I might get all that done tommorrow or the day after, and a screen will of course be shown...

Its the purples and browns mixed with colors like yellow right? I know, it does look kinda weird...but it is only for that area, and now that I think about it I might make a few changes because that one plant with the yellows, purple and green is disgusting...

Hmm, if I look at that house I have a feeling that your characters are going to be slightly smaller then normal Graal characters. It looks really good though.

Hmm...Your tileset is too, sharp or something. The house is cool, but the rest of the tileset is kinda weird. It would probaly look better if you changed the bodys

Bah....maybe I should restore the old bush and rocks...

I gave some extra colors to go along with the flowers and such..

Hmm I forgot to add the head to the body when I told Fai how big the door is...but that is easily fixed because of the way Fai made the house. Just need to raise everything 1...the body (including the new head) is 32x48, now thats for each sprite...he is exactly 24x48 or something...but I will show a screen soon.

OH! I forgot to show a sample of the map. Now this thing will make ALL the difference in the way Murasamune is played. No details are seen (not even mountains), you must do ALL the exploring yourself or with experiance players. There will be many, MANY secrets, whether in islands or mainlands, many places to explore to get secret equipment or items.

Here is the new map, in fact I find it more accurate then the default graal map, believe it or not. It is a mini map and a large map, there will be maps like this for quests and such of new areas (for instance a forest will elves live would be very big, and you would get a map).

Everything will be marked as well, villages will be in white, caves in brown, things like that. You will have an option of showing the name of the area or not when you view the map, and of showing only non-hostile areas (like villages, in white) or everything, but thats only for the large map...the mini map could get very cluttered with how many dots there would be...the mini map will probably only have the option of showing the white dots.

You can move while the map is out, and its very easy to navigate. The one thing is that you can't see other players...you must actually try to find people and plan out events when you go exploring for special items...and with special items there will be many, many items and equipment, secret or not. All made possible with the Murasamune system...but thats a different story.

I could go on for a while about this map, but just take my word in saying it will make all the difference in gameplay. Yes, the problem of auto-map is still there, but I think I have a plan to take care of that...the only problem left is level connection. You may or may not get that depending on how I fix everything up...I think you will though so don't worry

Heh...well for one, W-Dragoon didn't make anything you see in those screens (except the compass), he made the body stuff and head which everyone will soon see...

Heh, it seems you like everything which should be liked then...I don't like the fluffy grass either...looks to...plastic-like...

As for the tree, can't put my finger on it yet...

Hmm magic...I need to get working on that...

Magic will be cool...you will be able to target people with the fancyness cool green arrow and then you can do stuff. You will be able to shoot fancy fireballs and stuff...

But Soul Blade you REALLY should do the body GFX so they match the tiles..last time the body did not match the tiles at all + it was fugly and REALLy messed up
