Tips for upgrade

When you upgrade your .exe, store all of these .txt files somewhere safe:

buddyaccounts.txt
ignoredaccounts.txt

Every time a new version comes out, it takes a week of constant massing, and random pming for people to regain the buddy list. Instead of whining about it, im trying to prevent it.

Im sure alot of you understand the very very simple logic behind this. I posted this for the people lacking that.

Umm. It doesn't change any of my lists when I upgrade.

It only happens if you unwittingly install to a new directory.

But, hey, you can copy the files to your new directory! amazing!

Happend to alot of people last time. I just wont attempt to be nice anymore.

They probably deleted their main directory or somethin' silly like that.

They probably did. I have had my same buddylist and history folders since last time i wiped my HD.

I lose my objects list. Have to keep re-making Open Chest and all that.

I've had the same buddy list since I started- recopied the file into my graal2001 folder, you know.

I don't have anyone on ignore, so it's unimportant.

The only person I have on ignore is shorty... big surprise.

Mine are perfectly intact.

I put anyone that I don't have on my buddy list that asks for a key, gralat or a bomy on ignore.

Man, I get asked for my bomy all the time, I'd have a lot of people on ignore if I did that.

I only have people on ignore who do the following things:

1. Keep massing exactly the same thing
2. Keep toalling exactly the same thing
3. Mass any violent/pornographic/etc. pictures in a mass

Last time I checked I had 3 people on ignore.
