I am so grateful for the chance to still be here.

But you're not the Lycia who did all that so many years ago. You're glad it didn't happen, but that's not taking into account the feelings of Lycia-2years.

I think my mom and brother would've gone insane right now if they had lost both me and my father within a 2 year period. See, saving someones life isn't selfish by any means. What's selfish is the thoughts of the person who wants to commit suicide. They aren't thinking about what might happen to other people as a result of their suicide. Someone ELSE may commit suicide because the person that committed suicide did it. You have to look at it from both sides of the coin. You can't just say that the person attempting to save a persons life from it is selfish and thats the bottom line, no. You must look at it from both sides of the fence. Maybe the person committing suicide is doing it to get back at someone for the emotional torture they put them through. That, in itself, is selfish. You can't only look at it from one angle, Kaimetsu. That's pretty biased, and narrow minded.

It's a fair point, but who gave those people the right to attach such importance to your life? Let's say somebody came to me and said "Hey Kai, I'm gonna kill myself if you ever eat bread again." Would they have the right to do that? To demand that I rid my diet of all yeasty baked sustenance? I don't think so. Same applies to family - if they grow attached to you then they are simultaneously accepting the potential consequences.

Suicide is INDEED a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

I agree entirely.

I disagree. There
are obstacles that are insurmountable.
