Stolen Servers!

It has come to my attention that Bravo is staying p2p but the name is changing and the world is not bravo. I feel that this is like cheating. That these guys are getting a server already up , with really bad levels and get to work and create their world in a space that could be better used for a server, that some guys have spent months making.
Bravo is a good example of a good playerworld that has turned into an absolute mess. When an owner doesnt want their playerworld it should be transferred intact for the enjoyment of the players or taken down.
Give these other guys a chance to show off their worlds. I would rather be on a new fresh world than someone jumping the line to get a space to keep constructing.

all i gotta say about bravo is that brandon should die for destroying and stealing it and anyone who supports him should too lol. It was alot of fun when racoondog was owner, now its just alot of level generated nothingness.

Everyone got off subject into Bashing Bravo (which it deservers) but the point of this thread is a very good one. So many people are getting servers, while others spent months working on theres only to get it failed because there's not enough room for more. The original owners are the ones who spent all their time on the server and should be the only ones allowed to keep it. If someone else wants a server they should have to work for it.

and if you listened well it is kind of hard to take the playerworld down(especially p2p). btw why even bother? its just a little playerworld with few people. it doesnt even hog up that much server resources or bandwith in the matter.. its a nice testing ground for some staff there (like Boco

oh and old Bravo would of been changed neways. if it was up until now with those levels they would of have been changed. they were too old school for now.

oh btw its stupid to post and say "if a playerworld owner changes it should remain intact" ..
the owner can do whatever he/she wants to the playerworld basically .. else they dont really own it .. Brandon did what he wanted .. it was a stupid decision but it was no abuse ..
if he wants to take it down he can go ahead and do it (but is he still owner? didnt he quit? . so why you whining about brandon?)

I think that some people have misunderstood what I have been saying.
Each person should have a chance to put their playerworld up. Why should someone jump the line and have a playerworld already online to make a world with. Let them start at the beginning just like everyone else.
This gives everyone a chance to have their playerworlds up if they pass. I think that some people have taken advantage of getting a playerworld without doing all the work that others do.
If an owner doesnt want their playerworld, it should be be deleted .so others can have a chance to put theirs up.

dur. he owns the server. its basically still Bravo . just because the levels are new doesnt mean that its a new world.
and no every1 shouldnt get a chance because not all worlds are good. and if a world like newbravo is put up and its not that good then they are supposed to be put down . even though its not happening.
and what you are saying is this "If you want to update your playerworld you need to get it accepted again"
thats stupid...
if your playerworld is up in the first place.. then prolly the new world will still be good and you still are a good owner and will know how to take care of it.

I'm a bit confsued by what you mean stolen. Yes it is staying p2p. As it really should, and the servername change was requested a long time ago. Brandon just never accually did it. if its still needed we are ready to do so. yes we are rebuilding the world, but havn't other servers rebuilt there world. There is no rule agaisnt rebuilding. The one that was there when brandon was there was a complete mess, and very hard to build from. its up now with the job systems and so forth for testing and to keep the players occupied while we take on this task of building which i might add is consuming muc of our personal time. We of course ar enot going to wait till the entire world is finished before release as some servers have done that would be a tremendous ammount of time. instead we will get much done and build on as needed.

You have agreed with some and disagreed with some. Not all remade playerworlds are very good.
Bravo was an example. They took out all the levels, and are changing the name. To my knowledge that would constitute a new server and should be taken down and go through the reviewing process just like anyone else.
If the playerworld, then gets accepted, then put it up. If the playerworld is rejected, then dont put it up.
I think that is a fair and just way to do things. Everyone who has a good playerworld should have an opportunity to show what they have, if they get accepted. Old playerworlds who have no owners, or have been totally changed from the original concept should have to go through the same type of rules and regulations as any other.
I think that would be fair.

well i also think that well its hard to recreate a playerworld form scratch (especially p2p) offline without anychance of testing npc systems online and since server npc server commands cannot be used ofline you cannot test the functionability of them, so elaborate(sp?)(or even somtimes simple) sytem/job/weapon s cannot be created.

What does it matter? It would be put up anyways because its a p2p server. Why do you think providence is up? Ive seen much better playerworlds than that (no offence). Im sure things will get better as time goes on.

Right now, the Non-P2p Servers are WAY better than the P2P (IMO), but as people learn how to use the NPC server to the fullest extent, im sure p2p will draw more attention than it does right now.

Providence rules! How many of you can build a town on your PWs? I don't think you can. I wish we knew how to do that kinda stuff on TDK (We would if we could get up to test our NPC Server scripts but crap like Bravo stays up)

Yeah, more and better things to do, less newbies that have no clue how to conduct themselves online. You can actually walk without getting PKed 30 times for every tile you move.
