Um Qusetions:

1.)what islands are people trying out for right now so far?
2.)does it have to be one of those elements that you said?
3.)could it be non-elemental? (i.e. in games there are elemental magics with strengths and weaknesses to other types, then non-elemental magics which dont have weaknesses to different magics, might not have strengths either not sure)
4.)will the server be a p2p?

1. 3 people are trying out for the same kingdom...different island sections
2. I prefer it be elemental

Well, it's just me, myself, and I that are doing all the work...making ganis, making levels, scripting npcs, making gfx....yep.....we are a great team

ok so what elements are still available as of now? same ones? what if i somebody wanted to use an element you didnt list, are the elements that are going to be used set in stone or are you flexable? Also what island are they all trying for?

i don't really play graal very much anymore, but if u ever need anything, just pm me, email me at [email protected] if u want.
i can script, average at levels and gfx, alright at ganis.

but i really don't wanna work there, because ive already quit the server i was working on

Ok i fixed the trail on that level. I changed it ALOT. I just took a screen shot this time and it didnt pick up the treasure chest for some reason

and also the file size was to big to attach to this file so i cropped the image some but it still shows all of the trail.

I like the level and all, but I don't see the reasoning behind having the giant bush garden thing.

did you download the zip i posted earlier and play it? in the actual leve there is a treasure chest in the upper left corner and the snapshot didnt pick up for whatever reason, also i made a bush gif so you cant slash them all, its just a little puzzle thing nothing complex.

I see, I see. No, I didn't download the zip because I'm not fond of downloading things off of these forums. Heh. But I understand now, and I see the point. I just usually frown on the placement of lots of things like that.

Wonderfull....and yes, I already knew about the bush npcs...i looked and saw you had bush.gif in the zip. Thing is, I use a completely different bush graphic in my pics1.png....so I also spotted the little trail...but still very good.

As I have said before, team up with a good npc scriptor and tryout for any remaining kingdom (fire, water, earth, shadow)

but just to let you know...there are about 2-3 people already competeing for water and 1 person doing shadow...but you can still pick any of them.

um i posted a png after i posted the zip g_yoshi, i fixed the trail that you walk on so its not so straight. and what islands are being tried out for currently??? (i.e. maybe post a pic of your map with bright orange circles around islands people are already trying to develop, lol)

Hey G_Yoshi you know what you could do?? since the edges of your map is all water you could give it a more worldy feeling by linking the edges of your map. Like if the player touhes the left side of the level and its on the ver very left side of your map it would warp them to the other side, just like regular level linking but it would be pretty cool.

Oh and what exactly do you do thats different in a role playing server? I mean like what would be scripted different? What sorta rp things would i need in a kindom?

I have a knack for telling if things are going to be popular, and I can safely say that Doragon Koden will be the l33test PW out there...that is, until people see mine.

Go away....there is a big difference between upgraded servers and free servers.

If Doragon Koden was a free server, it would be a different matter.

Bad idea...doing that does not make it stream like normal levels, even if you change the map text file.

Besides, the majority of the water will be blocking water and you will have to use a boat to get from place to place most often so there is no need to make it "globular".

Depending on what element you choose, your levels, gfx, and npcs should revolve around you element. Such as magic npcs. Also, if you ever want to, you can rename some of the overworld levels so you can have your own tilesets...just make sure they don't stray too far from the tilesets I use because I will have to create the different seasons for it.

Um...really, just do whatever and stick with your theme. I do have plans for a few non-elemental kingdoms but that will be later after things have been established. But that does require that all the current kingdom spots be filled.
