Graal is getting too Anti-PK!

*Sigh* I'm sorry folks but Graal is getting downright boring for me, and i'm starting to think I'm the only one that really cares. Everyone seems to be happy with Graal strongly leaning towards a non-pk'ing environment. Which just isn't right... I mean if you hippies wanna play a graphical adventure where you just chat, play furcadia. That game sucks but you all would like it that say "It's good the way thing are going." and "You shouldn't be able to PK!". I'm sorry but Graal was founded on that very thing and all the fun times I've had on graal were with wars and thieving and such. Stefan, you're making it much to hard for anybody to run an evil guild, on Graal 2001 at least. Starting with that stupid (you can't get life back if your ap is low) and the latest rule about dropping only 10-20 gralats has finally made me step back and seriously think about quitting. I mean now you've concreted that the rich keep their money and the poor never get any and it takes a lot of fun out of it. Try to remember folks, that Graal is a ONLINE ZELDA WANNABE. That involves adventure, fighting and swords. And most of you complain about fighting, it's just not right. You all are so worried about teh economy on G2k1 and how you don't want lots of money around but the current state (Small Select Upper Class, large lower class, no middle) is terrible and makes the game O' so freaking boring. If Graal keeps changing and doesn't go to the way it used to be which is fun.... I'm going to ask for some of my money back, as this is not what I originally agreed to. Making these rules as we go along sucks. Stand up for your rights PK'ers or it will only get worse! These aren't small changes, they're drastic to PK'ers and we're already a dying breed, I so want to get an evil guild going like the old days, but I guess no one cares... tis sad.

from the victim the pkers will even more go killing people...

I think you are totally wrong about the pking. What fun
is is the fighting, not the action of killing someone
(which is just annoying, nothing else, since you doesn't
really die, only loose some money and time)
It's very bad if someone tries to get some money by
fishing or bird carching or crafting, then some player is
coming, presses S several times, then get all the money.

Another solution for this problem would be to have some
bank or bank card, but then everybody would put money
on the account as soon as he gets some, so pkers wouldn't
get any money by killing someone.

killing is an essential part of the game.

But I mean, I don't think there's anything wrong with having some evil thief-type characters, hiding out in the woods or places people travel to pounce upon a wearly wanderer with some gralats. It's PKing and fighting in the cities that i have a real problem with.

Its fun getting money off of pking, its annoying when you loose your money from getting killed but graal is soppose to be fun, and if someone doesnt want to get pked, pause for like an hour if it takes you, if its that big of a deal to loose money pause. If you have .5 then your screwed then lol, I dont want to work like 2 hours to only get 50 gralat, why not kill someone and get 25 in like 1 minute.

I used to pk for no reason, just to get kills but it ws pointless, now I just look at someones profile see how much gralat they have and kill them, then i spend it so it disapears!

Pking is a part of graal, but it depends on the PKer....yes, i think little *** PKers that PK for no reason is stupid...but what about people who spend hours tracking down a single guy? Thats basicly the same off spending time to mine or fish or bird hunt....but in those you get a little money at a time, so you dont realize you get just as much from PKing. Some people dont enjoy sititng and contanly pressing a button to earn money, but would rather go hunting for someone....i am one of those people. A real PKer doesnt sit and kill, but takes time to get a single person. But of course none of you anti Pks understand this....you guys dont care just how hard we work to steal money after hours of tracking you down....

Stefan what fun is the fighting if you don't die? That's just like not finishing something you start, I mean, how do you know someone has won? And it's not like the people that get pk'ed and that lose their money can't go right back and do the same and they usually do. It's just a fun thing to do. Like Soul Blade said, it's the Hunt that's fun. When you take away this motivation then it gets bloody boring, pointless pk'ing is only fun for a bit. But PK'in for a reason is where you get satisfaction. Please don't just cater to non-pk'ers and think about the pk'ers too. All these constant changes are really getting old, why not stick to a winning formula just because a few newbies whine to you that probably won't play any longer than a month anyway but I've been playing since the first version of Graal. (I know some of you oldbies hate being pk'd but the majority of whiners are newbies) Just like I stated earlier, this is an ADVENTURE Game. Not a chat. How can you have adventure without conflict? You can't.

I totally agree with thehub. If graal just stayed where it was at before the "no gaining life when your ap is low" rule, it would be so much more fun. It is a lot easier for someone to resist PK than it is to actually PK. Graal is changing for the worse, and because I paid, when that "only drop 10-20" gralats rule came out, I was enraged. Why cant graal just stop changing in terms of anti-PK rules. It makes no sense. Why does graal cater to non PKers? And in response to Vermains "Now people can just go adventuring" (or something like that), what fun is that? WHat is there to "adventure"everyone know every inch of the map, so it would be pointless. Whats next...taking away swords except when your in a spar room? *gasp* I wouldnt be surprised...

i pk to fight, not for the money. if someone does not want to fight, there is always pause. i usually leave the person alone if they pause, cause its not fun killing someone who is very sensitive to getting killed. i feal that you shouldnt loose any gralats when killed, that way there will be no complaining about getting killed. i dont know how you can say that pking is "stupid".

the ap rule for no refilling if your ap is below 40 is a very good idea. because of this, there are hardly any pkers who refill. the better the challenge, the more enjoyment i recieve.

Sparring is better because there's no 100 AP. What we need are more sparring arenas with stones and where weapons are encouraged and stuff. It's stupid that people are expected to only use swords in spar arenas, using weapons makes it more fun and interesting.

Yeah, spar areas in forests would be cool, make 'em big too. Maybe even some fun NPC obstacles and traps.

Using weapons was why I liked CS. Since it's not played much nowadays, I'm kind of sad. Way back when it was the only thing to do...

The thing I don't like about PKing is when there is like 2-5 people all with black names sitting in the main town sitting there killing each other over and over. Its fun if you slowly lurch around corners...hide under bushes...chase Dante and watch them run etc. This goes back to the staff pking rule. Thats not a rule. It's please do not PK the GPS when they are walking around and stuff. Thats cause they have to catch the hackers and stuff. I like being PKed, I sometimes let people PK me. If I have my (Fish) tag on or something and people PK me and I am fine with that and then later when I put a staff tag on they PM me saying sorry, I just tell them they can PK me as much as they want. PKing is a part of the game, but constant PKing can get annoying.
