If you're reading this you don't currently work for Val or plan to, so this is very pointless. Real Val admins never listen to player or staff suggestions, they just continue making useless things only for themselves.
If someone really is remaking Val they should start with the basic graal classic map to be historically accurate.
Val story in short: In an alternate time line Graal Classic world was invaded by another country (the Neos.) A dragoon who lived in graal got his dragoon friends to help the graalians and they formed the Rebels. The Rebels defeated the Neos and made peace. For some reason the Neos changed their name to Dalmar and the Rebels became Taron.
Anyway, obvioiusly don't use all the same buildings as the graal map, just have water, shores and mountains in the same place, I doubt they would change that much in 100 years or whatever time has past.
Remake the Taron and Dalmar towns on the graal map and Valikorlia castle. Put the elves back in the forest, not in their human type town that they're in now. (Endraal)
Put Lahan back on it's own continent with Aeon. (if they're really needed, no one does anything with them)
Use that big island to the southwest as Athedia. (Athedia is actually important for rp unlike the 2 Gadestia nations.)
I still have no clue where Dragoonia is on this planet...
Level wise put in the Phoenix mountain and Golem quests. I think I did that ring of life one too, but make it more important, most people don't notice it. If there were any other quests put them back. Before you add anymore castles or statues of yourself put up another quest or 2 or 3.
System wise go back to the experience/classes. The sword techs people started making were decent, but make sure you don't only give NPCs to the admins this time. Thieves were cool way back in the day and they could even steal now, Geshtar and I figured out a way to make them steal over 6 months ago though. Do not put wizards online until you take down every fire or lightning spell that uses put explosion or your water and other elemental spells that use putleaps. Those are so lame and lazy. The explosions are the worst, they can only do .5 or 1 damage and they take time to use as compared to a fighters constant swinging to doing 2 damage. Put leaps look lame but at least you can script more damage into them. Making original graphics for spells would be nice if you want to be decent, not like every other free server out.
Also limit the admins in other ways. With Gestahl as owner of Taron they will NEVER lose a war unless he wants them to. It has nothing do to with rp or actual might of each army. And if you're running a nation go out a limb and be a bad guy. The game is no fun with 6 nations allying with each other and killing any person who even mentions the word evil.
Athedia is historically evil, their people think they are better than everyone else. You can't just come in knowing nothing about them and make them ally with their enemies. hellooooooooo
Also, Taron and Dalmar do not fight against Valikorlia, Valikorlia is Taron and Dalmar put together. That's like saying California is invading the US. A civil war could happen, but people who live in Taron or Dalmar should know what the hell Val is. They think it's a different nation most of the time. I hope there aren't people in the US that don't know they live in it.
Originally Dragoons were supposed to be a race of half dragon half humans. They are friends with dragons and can call on them to help in battle. (well at least Drakaden can, heh) Humans that join them are just helpers, they're not supposed to have the same powers as them or become official Dragoons.
Because everyone thinks Dragoons is a class not a race and people join anyways that rule should be ditched and they should just be another nation of people.
THE (as in one) dark dragoon was supposed to be one person possessed by the dark dragoon helm, but again people messed it up and made a whole group of dark dragoons like the evil dragoon spirit had a whole ton of friends he brought along to possess everyone. They were killed but they shouldn't be confused with the original, they just didn't like the other dragoons, they shouldn't have had any special powers.
What the hell happened to elves? Since Atna took them over they disappeared, he just has private rp sessions with a few of the staff and usually doesn't include people who come to the server to rp.
A loooong time ago the staff held official rps quite often with actual players of the server and not just each other. I guess they figured they deserved a whole server to themselves so 3 people could rp together.
