Even more legalities on PokeOnline/Zero

I know you've had enough of this. We all have, but last night I called my cousin. I'm frankly pissed off about Pol/Pz and all of their "legalities." They stated that Myke contacted Nintendo of America about legalities. This is not true, in fact Naihitsu said that there would be a huge problem. He said that these are all enough to get it shut down:

1. Using the name Pokemon (which is copyrighted) on a game THEN copyrighting the name themselves.

2. Stealing graphics from another game (illegal) THEN saying they are theirs. Myke said he does not claim them, yet everyone who plays that game says they DO own them. X.x Sounds like Myke is lying to us.

3. Use of graphics from 2 copyrighted companies. They are using the game boy ROM then practially ripping it from the game and making it online-playable.

4. Even if he did contact NoA, Nintendo of America only partially owns those graphics. Gamefreak and Nintendo LTD. actually own them and NoA has permission to use them (for translated games)

Those are just some of the reasons that he mentioned. (I had to get off the phone unless I wanted a REALLY high phone bill X_X)
He said he might email me some more later, but he also said not to bet on it considering he's at work a lot. If I ever get the email I will post it on here as well at PokeZero/PoL(If they ever accept my application -_- I've waited for a week now) I also notified the picture named they had stolen (pics1.png) to Naihitsu and he said if he ever emailed me, to reply and attach ours AND PoL/PZ's.
When I have more information, I'll post it here.

I think it's good that they stole our old tileset like that. Now if anyone's gonna get sued by Nintendo, it's them first, buying us enough time to cover ourselves!
They suck and all that, but they server as insulation, and that's gewd.

I see nothing about NeoNight in this crisis.

Anyway. It is just a programmer, who likes pokemon and wants to make a cool pokemon game that people will wanna play.
But there is almost no way to make a Game as good as Graal in visual basic with out taking many years to do it.

I someday wanna make a game people wanna play also.

I cant say what he did was good, but I also cant say anything against him.

I somwhat agree with you, but why not the Creator/Programmer hook up with the Original creaters of teh Pokemon sequal(s) and Program an online game and charge minimum for that?

But instead -- The Creator of Pokezero online or whatever had to go and use a Graal tileset, a Copyrighted name , and all of that without permission. I doubt Stefan would have let them use the tileset anyway, even if whoever created it asked.
It is all about the cash money. :o

Stealing graphics and using it as their own without permission is illegal anyway you put it

That game is completely like the Gameboy Pokemon (no orginality)

Who wants to play a shitty remake of a already released game? Oh yes it online counter-part....Where the hell is the online.

If you want to release something (games or otherwise) make sure it looks desent and doesn't have bugs and crap up the arse!

It is VERY Hard to make good games in visual basic

whether or not they do make it online. Stefan AND Nintendo both have the right to sue them in two DIFFERENT cases. Stefan can sue because they stole the concept for an online game that was originally a gamebody game. (Yes granted this was a long time ago and graal has changed). Say some people who have graal p2p accounts like pokemon more than graal then stefan would lose profits from these people flocking to a new game. Nintendo can sue them because they sue every pokemon fansite ever made. I remember Ultimate Pokemon Network which was sued for being a fan site and using various Pokemon names. While this does not hurt nintendo's profits it makes less visitors to www.pokemon.com Which Nintendo doesn't want. Thus they sue them. Wtih Nintendo, Unixmads & Stefans uber lawyers on their case they are doomed from the start.

That Pokezero owner has not replied to any of the forum posts the graalians have made.. so you really can't say he is refusing...

Just drop this whole thing already, stefan and unixmad know about the game, they have contacted them, and any action being taken can be done by them. Why must so many of you go up into other people's business and try and destroy it. You might hate pokemon but you won't go to your nearest toy store and burn all the pokemon merchandise.. ohhh but you are willing to scream at some guy making an online pokemon game..

They said they were changing the tileset.. graphics don't make themselves overnight and there haven't been any more version releases.. if they continue to release new versions with graal's graphics, THEN you can complain.

Until then, I think the situation should be dropped, because I for one am getting tired of the numerous threads filling up the general graal discussion forum =/

I'm kinda saying we have a plan b if plan a doesn't work. If Stefan and Unixmad can't get this solved (They should be able to in a snap) then Nintendo can come in. InfernoDragon: they aren't MAKING new tile sets, they're just editing the one they use right now. If you read the forums you would know that.

There may be fans and stuff, but to make things worse, you guys/girls use Graal's names too. LAT (Hmmm familiar!) and GFX Admin (Nope haven't seen any new GFX but the lame suits and 2 heads that don't work) Oh and the funniest thing. You don't have LAT Asst. Chiefs... you have LAT Leuitenants.
