You should darken the screen the further you go into a cave away from the source of light from the surface.

That's a nice idea. The further down you get, the more darker it becomes or if you're surrounded by walls, it becomes darker. Nice idea mate.

How can you even say that bearing in mind that you've only seen a couple of screenshots of the tileset and other minor details of the project?
You don't really have that much knowledge on the project yet to be making that sort of statement unless you're just stating it out of hatred because you dislike its creator or you're just being a troll.
