Not sure where to post this as I don't want to derail your thread, but I'm not sure about how i feel regarding your movement system. Feels like the screen is lagging, and I feel like it would get your dizzy if you stopped and moved frequently (Ex: an event)

Also, you should probably copy Era and have it where players grab the doors. Maybe I am just use to Era, but your doors don't even open. I just walk by and all of a sudden I am inside a building. You could probably have a simple door animation made too which would be pretty cool. Just thought i'd tell you before you do all your doors that way xD.

Anyways, awesome tileset, and nice simple GUI.

Yeah we planned something nice for the doors. Will come soon. You are probably on the old GMap. There is a new one which non-Staff cant enter.
At the moment we are using a simple GUI, but the new one will be more complex.

I'd like to see this town! Although, save yourself some time by doing the design in MS Paint with a key rather than an actual drawing of a town lol

It's a lovely tileset, the level artists you've hired haven't given it any justice; I'd recommend minimal detail in the grass so you can appreciate the lovely tiles!

I wouldn't mind playing around with the tileset for a bit too

Won't be a drawing, just concepts

what would be the use of LATs if it was like that, still trying to invent a way for perfect usability so LATs can work with the things...but it wont be tiles-consistant... problem is, there are not many LATs on graal that have architectural know-how.

I can fully understand and appreciate that; a lot of the work you've done (in great detail) is, I'm assuming, not completed yet (the tileset). It's great to have a guide for people to follow, but from what I've seen it looks as if you're developing the level yourself with illustrations and waiting for an LAT to just fill in the missing pieces.

Unfortunately the last person I've crossed paths with who can create something with an original concept and still in-corporate their own unique style is Crono; him and a small number of artists have the ability and skills to actually progress further than making a decent level.

Sage (DeCeaseD) helps out now with minor Graphic stuff and assisting Elk, but thats only part-time. I would like to hire one more Graphic Artist to help out. He should be able to adapt to any style or format.

My only issue is the stairs going down out of the room in the second image. It looks a bit awkward... But don't get me wrong, I love everything else a whole lot.

new tiles have far to much contrast in comparison with the older ones. What's with the crappy lines too?

Blankets? and barrels look rather bad... it looks like you just took the original cabnit and changed it up in weird ways. So yea...it doesnt really fit together imo.

True the contrast is much different. Well another Graphic Artist worked on the objects so thats the reason why we have another colors there. Might change the colors later to match them up though.

I think ppl might be a bit too harsh on the tiles. I wouldn't waste time nitpicking certain tiles where that time could be better spent working on your player sprites and getting those to match the style and coloring of the tiles.

Your tiles are extremely beautiful, and the level of detail in the level makes it look utterly jaw-dropping. For me anyway...
I would idle in that level just to get some of that eye candy. Great work!

I also prefer the old tiles.
New tiles make everything look too small, especially when the character has that huge sword.

Overall the server looks very nice though.

There wont be huge swords, I'm overwhelmed by the huge amount of work that is required to do, including the planning beforehand.

Also, I lost my Wacom Pen, so it might take some time till I can pick this project up again.
