Noctorious is a Modern styled server with a few RPG features, our main goal is to make the server as fun as possible for our players and always have stuff for them to do as well.

Server Information
Over the past month I have been working on Noctorious we have added a few new features. These features will improve the game enviornment, what I mean by that is that there will always be something to do, something to keep you busy. At this time we curretly have 6 Jobs you can choose from. Over this next month I will be improve each and every job making them better in there own unique way. Aside from the jobs we will have some of our old features like radio stations, apartments, treehouses (New),buyable vehicles,and quest. Honestly I will not be answering questions like that. If you feel that Noctorious
is like Era than let it be. If there is one thing im not going to do is explain in full details what features noctorious has. If you really want to know check the hiring thread theres a list of features in that topic.

Last time I checked Era ripped our fishing job/concept from Noctorious, So what makes Era like Noctorious?

I normally do but everytime I make an attempt they compare ever last feature to era even if its completely different. People can PM me personally or check the facebook page for Noctorious if they really want to know the features.

Server Updates
10/1/11Recent Update: Fishing system has been re-written, now when you fish you will cast a line out and when the water starts splashing that means you have a fish on the line. After that you then dress "D" and match it up with the marker, after that you will obtain a fish. It is random so you will nto be able to catch the same fish everytime.

Weather System/ Day&Night System has been updated as well: T...he weather sytem is pretty much dynamic, it follows our servertime so if its supposed to be sunny and its 6am than the temp will be low 70's, as time goes by and 12pm comes around it will get hotter. As for the day and night system, that is just lighting effects that follows the time and flows with the weather as well. Some days it will be cloudy others sunny and sometimes even rainy.

*We have not added it yet but there will be effects that effect your character depending on the tempature.

Recent Update: Main GUI/Hunger/Energy Systems added.

Main GUI - The main GUI displays the following: Player level, Player exp, Players hunger, Players energy, and Players ammo count.

Hunger System: Overtime your hunger will go down, if it reachs 0 you will begin to lose health slowly until you die of starvation. To refill your hunger you must go buy food and eat it. Food no longer heals players.... To heal you must find a bed and select the option heal, you will then begin to start healing.

Energy System: Same as hunger, your energy will go down slowly and if it reachs 0 than you will passout where you are standing for about 1 minute or less, after passing out you will wake up and your energy will be refilled. You can regenorate your energy by finding a bed and choosing the sleep option.

Beds: When you lay in a bed a small gui pops up asking you if you want to sleep or heal. After choosing and option your screen will dim then turn black for about 5-10 seconds. Once it comes back you will either be healed or your energy will be refilled depending on which option you chose.

Server Reset: We have decided to follow through with the reset, I know this sounds some what discouraging but for our previous players will not be fully reset. They will start with certain items and a nice amount of cash as well. This is a simple gift from us to you for playing Noctorious in the past.


Once again I will state that all server updates will be posted on Noctorious's facebook page along with pictues as well.

Hunger and energy (similar to your implementation) systems are terrible! I may change my opinion after trying your server when it's open but it's only annoyed me in the past.

A lot of systems have been and are being redon along with adding in new features in the process. We have a pretty big list of ideas that we are working on everyday. So look foward to updates being made/posted daily. Also if you don't change your mind we will change it for you

Recnt Updates
10/3/11:NocBay/Noctorious Messenger/Fishing

NocBay: Now with NocBay you can sell your items and other players can either buy them for the buy now price or bid on them. For those who don't know what Nocbay is , it's like ebay where you can buy and sell items to other players on the server.

Noctorious Messenger: Noc Messenger is a messenger that replace the current F7 playerlist. You can add buddies, block buddies, IM other players, Have group chat with more than one person. Update your status and sign in and out of the messenger. We are still in the process of updating this and adding more features to it.

Fishing: In the last fishing update I explained how fishing changed. Well it has changed once again. Now when you are fishing and there is a fish on the line you press D and a crosshair pops up. When it does you have to get both marks on the fish. The closer you are to the fish the easier it will be to catch it. After you match them up another gui pops up and you have to match the pin up as fast as you can. This may seem tedius, and when I first tried it was pretty hard, but as you learn it gets better and not only that more enjoyable because you have different steps to do.

That was a genuine question and damn good one too. Answering like that gives your server negative publicity. Answer all of the questions put to you as best as you can. Lets try again! What sets this apart from era?

Im sorry Emera but this question has already been answered. Im guessing you haven't spent much time reading through all the post in this thread because if you did than you would have noticed the list of updates. Which clearly answers the question "what makes Noct different from era". Lets try reading whats there before asking questions that you can answer yourself.

Not really, because this one baffled me so much I just had to cut to the answering part. It was a simple question that had a simple answer. Unless, it doesn't have anything that sets it apart from Era?

Noctorious is a modern based rpg server, this means that it will be a mix of modern and rpg as well. Noctorious has many differnt unique features that sets it apart from other servers. As you can see in my previous posts we have had some updates and are still continuing along with them. Noctorious consist of 6 different jobs each one being different from the other. The first job is fishing. Our fishing system is very unigue and differnt from others. It has about 3 different rather enjoyable steps that you have to take to catch the fish. After catching so many fish you can head to the fishing shop and cash them in for a check and get paid. Another one of our jobs is bank robbing. This would be for our more advanced players as they would have to fight off waves of security guards and shoot down the vaults as well. This works well with friends, maybe team up and split the money or take it all for yourself. For our players who don't like to PVP or get killed while working we have a warehouse job. In this job you have to grab the crate and take it to a certain platfrom in the warehouse. After making it to that platform you drop the crate off and head back for another one. After dropping off so many crates you will recieve a check that you can cash at the bank for some mula. Another interesting job we have is hunting. This job would be for our more advanced players as well. Hunting can be rather easy or hard depending on how good you are with a weapon. Each monster has drops and each monster drops different items. Some monseters drop rare items that can be sold for a nice chunk of change. These are only a few of the jobs we have. We currently are in the process of adding 2 new jobs which I will disclose at a later date. We have also added levels, you can earn exp through, doing jobs, quest, or PVPing. Now I know your probably thinking this is nothing special but along with levels come 3 minor stats, Speed, Accuracy, Intelligence. Each one of these will play a big part in the servers gameplay. Intelligence being used for things like buying a business or certain guns. Speed will increase a players speed (Obviously this will have a level cap and will not be op) and accuracy will change pking completely. Im not going spoil the rest. For those who continue to ask "what makes Noctorious" so different from Era there is your proof. Keep in mind these are not all of are features and we do have many more features to come. Look foward for a change because it is coming.

We have one thing Era lacks the most, creativity and we are dedicated to making Noctorious the best. Not only with features but staff wise as well. What does this mean? This means we actually care about our community and the players that play and intend on doing all that we can to satisfy each and every player. How might we do this? By listening to others ideas and implementing them, by making sure our players are happy. This is what we do and we do it everyday not just to be the best but for fun. So for those who continue to put down Noctorious, just know its on the rise and will have some unthinkable features. It will be different, it will be fun, and it will be exciting for those who are ready for something new...a change.

Is there an idea that you have been holding onto for a long time now? Well if your one of those people and would like to see your idea put to use than let us know about it. Just be sure that it has been thought through and is reasonable annnd goes with the server theme. 10/8/11 - Updates ~ Paycheck System

Paycheck System ~ This allows a person to make a certain amount of money everytime they do a job. For exampl fishing, fishing is still the same you catch the fish and when your ready you head to the fishing shop and sell your fish. Everytime you sell a fish or a few fish it will display a message. This message will say "You need $435 to recive a paycheck" pretty much once you sell $500 worth of fish you will recive a check instead of cash. To cash this check you have to go to the bank and speak with the bank teller. Then a gui will popup with 2 options, one will be open a bank account and the other will say cash checks. Once you click on cash checks another gui will popup where you can scroll through a drop down menu for the check you would like to cash. After cashing the check your money will then be deposited into your bank account. This check system has been added to all jobs, each job varies on how well you get paid. For a visual example just have a look at the pictures on the Noctorious Facebook page.

what about writing checks to other players?
are the checks a unique item for each check or do they stack?
if i have many checks, can i choose which one i want to checkout ( if they stack, that is)
can you give your checks to other players?

stuffs like that.
i hope this was a well thought out "system", if its not, it's going to wreck the servers economy.

We are working on a tutorial system that will cover every last feature so players aren't confused. Once you login a guide menu will popup and there will be a beginner guide along with job guides and such.

We have not started our big updates yet as we are trying to finish all of the small ones. You may see some of the updates pointless but in the long haul they will come in handy. It's the small things that count. Everything we are adding is Nooob proof so it wont be hard to figure things our or even find your way around the map.

You will not be able to sell your checks, they don't even show up in your inventory. The main point of the checks is so that say you just sold $1000 worth of fish and there's no atm in a fishing shop. So you have to run all the way to the bank or better yet you forget all about your money and decide to go pking. This prevents noobs or anyone from having to lose hard earned cash while working. Like I said this is a very very very simple system very easy to use. Pretty much its to protect you from losing money also you can only earn checks from jobs. You can't write checks or trade checks or anything of that sort. Yes you can choose from a drop down menu which check you want to check out. Each check will be individual from the other so say you sell $1000 worth fish you will get 2 checks for $500. Also each check says where it came from if it was from fishing it will say "Fishing Proceeds". There are pictures on the facebook page that show it step by step so just have a look and im sure it will give you a better understanding.

I do know what that is, I work irl and have direct deposit, but we don't have direct deposit. Its just like cashing a check irl except you have a choice to either get the money in cash or deposit it into the bank. We are adding direct deposit though but it will be for players that are level 4-5.
