It doesn't matter if it LOOKS bad or if someone opposing the 'lagger' can handle it or not, it's instantly a matter of "OMG, 101ms! Limit is 100! KICK KICK KICK NOW!!!!". It's completely out of hand.
On a default Graal server with a level 3 shield, with a player having 100 MS of lag, a player will appear about 1.2 tiles behind where he actually is when hit detection comes into play. On Era, where your movement speed is well over the level 3 shield speed, with 100 MS of lag, you probably appear to be 2 or more tiles behind where you actually are when hit detection comes into play. The more you know..

"eating bullets" has always happened and always will on era
u should be more concerned about dodging bullets which may hit u rather than looking if ur hitting ur opponent every bullet u shoot
the thing that irritates me is that when an american (typical low latency) has lag spikes he's always complaining about how lag sucks...so y do u say it's an advantage when someone else has it (even an australian/european who cant do anything about it)?

there's a difference between one lag spike of 400 ms and a constant ms of 200-300

That must be the only explanation! Wouldn't have anything to do with hating on the server locations and the horrible latency that actually causes or anything? Lol. Personally, I think the server in America would be better suited on the west coast somewhere. Provided the servers hosted on that machine can keep their scripts in check, latency should not be so much of a problem as the west coast geographically would be the most central location to connect to, for your typical Era player at least.

Hosting the servers in Russia would probably get the most balanced pings across the world, and some better ones for Russian players

i still see 100 or so ms when i know im spiking and i also live in america. so maybe i just have the same problem as 187. usually my ms doesnt change but the spike is clearly noticible so i look like i warped to the other player but on my screen that player eats 20 shots and doesnt get hurt. makes me not even want to play anymore

Feel ya, I live in america to, when I'm idling i stay around 120m/s with small spikes, then when i go to pk i start lagging like hell, and anything past 150m/s is unpk-able for me, everything lags, game freezes, players warp, I get mean looks, i then get angry cause this server lags.

thats exactly why i dont pk anymore its the same exact deal for me. by the time the spike recovers a bunch of bullets apear out of nowhere with no place for me to dodge and i have no idea where the person im fighting actually is.

You can entirely fix "eating bullets" and completely synchronize the bullets by adding a time value to the bullet creation packet, and moving the projectile ahead based on what point in time it was created, then from there moving it using delta timing instead of a fixed value per frame.
