Bellview is moving forward more and more each day! We currently don't have much but this is a little preview to what's in store.. I don't know much about graphic design but if any of you would like to give some pointers to my tile set then please do.

Note:
Players will have bladder levels, hunger levels, energy levels, and more. If a player doesn't eat he or she will pass out and end up at the hospital. If a player stinks (Ew!) then he or she will have flies around them. Here's the preview.

Brother, there's no attempt from me to start a flame war, but please look at the concept before you go: "Modern tiles= Era" on every modern server concept that comes along.

Era tiles are actually very grainy looking compared to smoothness and detail. O:

Ha bladder bar, that's great.

Use textshadow on your GUI, white on light colors is hard to read. I.e:

WOW. So far 2 people have collaborated on my idea and shaped it to there own. So you wonder why many servers seem to fail because they are all basically copy of something else. Even mine is with the tileset because in reality Era was the first one to implement -modern tiles. But still, MY idea was original and now there's look-a-likes and it really upsets me. Z_Z;;

You can't say "life" is your idea, sorry. You just need to man up and move on if this actually upsets you.

Servers fail because of the people who run them not that they're a copy of an existing server.

There can be 1000 copies of your idea and you can still come out on top. Server success has far more to do with the people developing and managing it than any single idea.

In other communities I frequent, there are two common sayings "Ideas are worthless" and "It's all about execution". I think this applies for playerworlds too. Naturally, out of two playerworlds that have the same ideas, the one that is the best will get played more. This could be 'better' in a number of ways - it doesn't really matter.

If you're upset that someone has copied your playerworld's idea, there's obviously a level of fear that what you're building is not so great. Rather than moan, maybe you should strive to change this?

Long & short: stop complaining and build the better playerworld.

Actualy, sir, we decided to work together (The "competition"). We did this to ensure one great sims like server. I really don't agree with your whole "Ideas are worthless" saying. It's not correct and Ideas are what sparks everything in the world. EVERYTHING. XD. And pluss, I have every right to complain as a forum member. Thanks though for your input.

Take a trestle table and set up a stall on your local marketing selling ideas. Tell me how much, exactly, you make.

While do not necessarily concur on the idea that ideas are worthless, I do think that MrDunne is right.
Nothing you can know that isn't known.

Just to emphasize my point. The gaming market is bursting out of it's seams with 'similar' ideas. What differentiate these games is the execution of it. Rather than complain about someone having the same idea, try to prove why your plan and execution are better.

It looks bland for my taste. Like a blueprint for a level. It misses character. Detailing, foilage, maybe cracks in the road?

It doesn't bother me if people have their own opinion, I welcome them and try to better my server/ideas with them or just reject them and say things like this. ^_^;
