Alright, here's an edit that attempts to work with the lighting better. It's not done(still can't figure out how to get his sword in there), but it's something.



I'm a bit sad that I had to go this direction as I really wanted Link to be unaware, but I don't think I could have portrayed him right with no lighting, nor get his facial expression correct with such a small resolution to work with. It's one of those scenarios that are probably best done animated to build up the suspense.

Deceased, that is a nice edit though... I wonder if I could work with that... hmm(though chances are I'd still redo it as I like the suggestion to have him looking around. Though I actually originally wanted to do that but without animation I didn't want to make it seem like Link was aware of anything by making it look like he was about to look behind him).

I feel that the image with Link facing away isn't very representative of the Zelda series because it makes Link look inept. He has always had a sixth sense about enemy bosses, being able to feel their presense without actually seeing them. If you were to incorperate Link back into that picture you would have to give him an expression like he is already suspicious (and a light source like a torch as suggested).
