Alfonso said he was going to remove the Guns Admin position; I assume because the gun stats don't need to be changed, and any Admin with half a brain can regulate the stats.. just gotta change a few variables in most cases.

Don't know about GBA; all I know is:

1. No one would hire TK or Catmater.
2. If Wil were to be hired, Tig would cry and fire whomever is manager.
3. There aren't that many people qualified, that are also trustworthy/fit under this management. So he probably won't be announcing anyone soon.

i do beleave that business and gangs should be control by different department like level issue lat, owner being corrupt or not obeying the rules- pr
if theres a glitch-nat
decisions like price change or owner change ect player admin or admins and manager decisions

Alf just did LAT apps, he's waiting for Vulcan to approve the people, and one competent/active LAT can handle it all honestly... would take less than a day to redo all gang/biz levels.. or a few minutes to change the ownership variables.

GBA can do A LOT more than they have been... lately the GBAs have just been inactive and switched a owner every month or whatever. If he picks someone that knows what hes doing and has motivation to work; then there could be new dimensions added around gangs and businesses.

Guns Admin is no longer going to be a staff job on Era. Guns shouldn't be touched at all once they're added. As for GBA, Zeus is currently in charge of dealing with anything GBA related until we hire a "permanent" replacement. I already have someone in mind, now I'm just waiting to see if he accepts or not.

I already chose a couple of people from the development applications, but yes I am waiting on Vulcan to approve them.

The problem is with that
most lats on era not all but most of them dont know how to do the basic things like creating a gmap,editing level scripts, making level scripts
joining classes ect.
if theres 3 graphics on one img to make only one graphic to display ect.
I apply for lat but they change the lat apps so i refuse to send another one for something thats not even going to be use

Making level scripts and such really isn't an LATs job.. To be honest, I personally don't even let LATs do anything script-related in levels.. They just make the actual level, if there's a need for a script to be added - they can ask a scripter or admin...
And if you don't want to reapply, well then that's your choice... No one is forcing you to do it, and yeah the tryout levels aren't gonna be used but they show us what you're able to do... You not reapplying just tells me you aren't that interested in working on era or you're just lazy.. Or hate LATing.... Just the way I see it.

Seems like a waste of a job position if you don't hire people that can manipulate images and npc scripts in levels.

Making the level is the easy part, getting everything to work is the actual job.

Since when is it an LAT's job to make scripts in a level? Manipulating images is easy, of course, but I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about them actually trying to make a new script in a level.

I've always thought that would be a requirement...

NPC scripts are part of the level editor thus level artists should know how to use them and make their levels functional. Since when is it NOT a LAT's job to make usable and functional levels.

Else they're just making a mold and passing it to someone else to fill in. Which is pretty inefficient when we're talking about the inactivity and laziness that is the Era staff team. If the LAT doesn't have the ability to fill in the mold then they're seriously lacking and will be in a bind when faced with a real task.

In my opinion, nobody should be writing code in level npcs except to set variables and join classes. I would expect level artists to know how to to this (assuming the classes are documented well enough so that others know how to use them).

Scripting is still scripting, even if it's in a level. I know what you mean, but I don't see how it's an LATs job to script - that's a whole other skill to learn. There's a reason we have scripters, they'll be the ones scripting that level, not the LATs. It's like of you're a designer for apple - correct me if I'm wrong, but all you'll do is design the product not engineer the software.

That's sort-of what I was referencing.
They should know how to join an ATM or Tree to make the level functional.. or in the rare case make a responsive NPC, some fancy lighting effects, even have the ability to pump out new stuff (like Tim and his TTS event).

They should have the ability to do so if required... that is my opinion as well.
But; Alf is the Co-Manager so his requirements are all that matter I guess.

Level artists should never be scripting. Tim's events are a great example of what happens when you allow them to.
