Can't blame him. Just look at how Era iPhone and Classic iPhone have been mutated from their parent servers.

The fact that he has a chance of preventing this besmirchment is why it's unfortunate.

If the powers that be intend for Zodiac to exist as an iPhone server past occurrences are an example to suggest current/past staff will be approached first, with global staff approached second for having the reigns put on them.
If this does indeed turn out to be the case the best you can hope for is that it would be somebody that has the servers interests at heart, as opposed to somebody seeking personal gain or with an agenda against the parent server.

Lack of motivation (doesn't help that it feels like a soul-devouring job) mainly and it just doesn't seem worth it.
