Help, Please

I'm working on my own server, that will probably never come online, just for my entertainment. Currently, it uses Dusty's tileset (The one he made that's in the Free Graphics thread. Thanks for making it, if you read this Dusty!).

As people grow to know me, they learn that I quite like where I live, New Zealand. What's not to love? We got the mountains, the trees, the tramping tracks, the birds, glaciers, volcanoes, earthquakes, and we range from the sub-tropics down to the... Uhhh... Whatever Stewart Island is.

I also love Dunedin. We are awesome, even if our rugby team sucks.

So, I want to put my love for my country into my server, Through the tileset.

I'm not asking for anyone to do it (Though that would be nice XD), just advice.

In the mid 1860's, we were flourishing from the Goldrush. We were the capital of New Zealand, and got very wealthy. So, naturally, our buildings got cooler-looking. That Is the part I would like help with today.

1. Bricks. Any suggestions on how I could make bricks like this?

2. Roofs. I know it isn't the best pic, but it's all I could find with a half-decent view of the roof. Orange Terracotta Shingles?

Thanks

Yeah New Zealand is pretty ok. It was better before 1841 when it was still part of Australia.

If you don't need them, you could recolor the castle wall tiles to be the bricks. That's what I would do. As for the roof, I'm still thinking you should recolor tiles you're not using, as long as the shape is correct. You can be as creative as you want

I was going to recolour them, and that's still what I want to do, but I really have no idea how to know what colours to use.

That was never going to work. New Zealand and Australia are almost 1500 KMs apart. And we wouldn't be able to beat you in rugby.

If we stayed part of NSW, Kate Shepard might not have stood up for woman, allowing them to vote. To quote Helen Clark, "Keep on Dreaming."

For the bricks I'd suggest making it all just a single color and then creating tiles that you can piece together to make the brick pattern randomly along the wall.

Make your sever entirely out of photographs. No "levels", only real world environments to explore.

Yeah... Wouldn't that be fun? Dressing up as a tree and going into everyone else houses with a camera XD

I get the feeling I'd get chased a bit, though.
