Graal Free To Play on Facebook and Android

Here are the big News:

1) We are opening a Free To Play Facebook/Web version of Graal Classic and Graal Era.

To make Graal easy to install we have ported the Graal V6 client to Flash technology: Graal V6 client is now fully web based and can run inside the Flash Player 10 on Windows, Mac and Linux.

We are planning to give the opportunity to PlayerWorld owners to move to Free To Play either. We will soon give a list of requirements to move a server Free To Play.

Tomorrow Monday 21 March: We will open a private Beta to test Graal Classic on facebook: Some Graal staff will be invited to be part of this Beta.

Monday 28 March: We will open the Beta test to more beta testers including the 3 winners of my “guess” contest, we will also open Graal Era Facebook version.

Monday 4 April: We will open Graal Classic facebook to Graal Classic iPhone VIP Players. We will explain the iPhone VIP subscription later this week.

If everything runs smoothly with all these steps we will open more Graal Classic/Era Servers and open these servers to everyone.

2) We are releasing the new V6 client for Windows, Mac and Linux
We will release in the forthcoming weeks (First weeks of April) the new native V6 client to everyone.

3) We are releasing an Android version
The Android release will come either in April

4) New developer tools
New Developer Tools including level editor will be released in Mai and June

Edit, I would use the space on the right if possible to promote other products such as PC, iPod versions.

honestly thats it ? well you said a update i thought u ment a pc fourm why make more platforms when you guys havent even update the pc verison soon iphone verison u guys will quit working on. when was the last time u even update the graal editor or a new server lol and u expect us to pay to play graal lol thats a joke

This is a pretty big deal. Not sure why everyone is so disappointed.

Further expansion on the only investments of "Graal" as a company that is bringing them in any significant revenue.

I'd doubt that PC Graal brings in anymore than is needed to keep the servers afloat.

Wow. Uhm, not what I expected, but I hope it'll help promote the PC version.

Wouldn't it be possible to link the PC Graal to the facebook version, without "porting" it to flash and making it seperate? That would be terrific.

Since I just started my own Playerworld, this seems like an incredible opportunity, good job!

We are starting with Facebook but the web version will be able to run on all web site. We plan to redo the Graalonline web site to allow playing directly inside the web browser. You will even be able to play full screen using the Flash based V6 client.

I think porting Graal to Facebook is a really solid choice. Good move by Eurocenter.

Now let's see the forward movement required on both Eurocenter's and the developer's part to make this successful.

Developer tools and Graal v6. I was expecting more, but it seems like Eurocenter is forgetting about us PC players since no one really plays it.

how can you promote a game when u dont even put theres a pc verison like example iphone theres nothing that talks about a pc verison u just have to go out and find it yourself\

what about playerworlds that already exist? will they be able to be transported on FB? or even directly playable on FB? and do you need to have an extra account except your FB account to play? :o

From what I inferred the "Facebook community" is going to be intertwined with the "iPhone community". They're opening the iPhone servers up on Facebook.

Crap, #4 on the development tools, really wanted to test them out. Didn't even know people suggested, just went on the forums and threw out my ideas.

The Actual subscription system of Graal is not fitting a mass audience that's why we have not advertised it to iPhone players.

When servers will have switched to Free To Play / Items based model we will be able to advertise them to iPhone and Facebook Players.

Yes it will be possible. The first step before thinking to go on iPhone/Android will be to switch to the new Free To Play rules we will introduce.

Also Mobile Phone are less powerful than PC so content need to be optimized. Stefan will introduce mobile phone development in the forthcoming weeks.

so question i have to ask why make pc where u have to pay u should just make it 100 percent free since we been running it with you u and stefan help ?
u guys havent update nothing on pc since 08 i think expect stefan a few scripts
why is al the other platforms free and pc verison is not ??? i think u guys should worry about pc verison since thats the main leg for graal

Given Zodiac and Era have already had Observer Mode removed and already employs a couple items that allow for micro-transactions what further steps will be required to go 'Free-to-Play' and will this apply to the native Graal client as well.

Do you have any plans to actually change the subscription on PC Graal? You just said it yourself:

Which implies to me that the current subscription system is fundamentally broken and if unacceptable for the iPhone should also be considered unacceptable for the PC.
