Selling guns/items through the gelat shop (assuming this is what you meant instead of "gold system") is the worst thing you could do. Look at Zone.

Yeah I don't get it either.
That's assuming that every shot is a hit.
But if we assume that shots that didn't hit also count, then we would expect the shots fired number to be much higher and the average damage to be much lower??

No, you'd have to divide by the number of shots that actually make contact which is(most likely) lower, which means the average damage per shot would be higher. However this does not take into account other forms of damage, like melee and grenades and fire and such which could account for a hefty percentage of damage dealt, meaning the average damage per shot would be lower.

Yeah but I doubt that all other forms of damage combined, assuming they're even counted, would add up to even 20% of the total damage.
Other damage sources would need to account for almost 50% of all damage to reduce the average damage from guns (~20) to 11.
Would be interesting to see the damage source breakdown statistics though, if they do exist.
