Windows 7 FPS Drops

Specs:
Amd Phenom ii x2 550 (OC to 3.8Ghz) processor
4GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 260 GPU

On windows XP the client is fine, however on windows 7 it seems to be dropping frames for long periods of time.
I've tried running as admin, running in compatibility mode and turning aero off.
Nothings working.I've tried the v6 client but its just freezing every other second(Reported by a lot of people?)
Any solutions to this?

Have you tried buying another graphics card and maybe more RAM? That'll fix the problem.

skillmaster19 will become famous soon enough
I have the same problem! I just got a new windows 7 computer, with like 6GB of ram, a much faster processor than my old computer (which ran Graal perfectly), yet my fps severly dropped.( I run 1/4th speed of what it should be) Im running the v5 client I think, I downloaded it from the site. Can someone send me a link to the v6 client? Maybe that will run fine.

Why would you need more than 4 gigs of ram? Do you remember when Graal was first becoming successful? I had what to me now seems like a friggin' typewriter in comparison to some of the computers they got. I didn't even have 4 gigabytes of HARDDRIVE on it.
I think it all has to do with the servers, honestly.

You should also note that the guy has a top-of-the-line graphics card. fowlplay was just making a joke.

The real problem is that v5 performs poorly on some computers for totally unknown reasons, and v6 had a freezing bug in it recently. I think v6 has been partially fixed in the latest beta, so perhaps that will help.
