don't worry, you start off as a noob there too.
anyway, I tried it out on a friend's device, worked somehow fine even if it lags really often. What I experienced wasn't that bad, but I can't say I enjoyed it that much.

EDIT: why are there screenshots in the app description from era iphone but on PC? That doesn't make any sense, people could think they will get a high resolution map when they actually get something rather small on the screen.

It is very nice. You can see the entire level, which means know where people are going (like if they are gonna sneak around through the other door). And everything looks great on it, the controls are nicely spaced out.

So, yeah, I got the app, right? And yes, I love Era. I've always loved Era. But there's too many players. Too many players. It bogs down performance and it bogs down the gameplay. I leave the hospital or spawn and I die quickly. And when I don't die I'm terrified to go back, because my slow-moving body will be put up against these iPhone 3GS and 4G users. Make movement framerate independent and interpolate or extrapolate other players on the server if you truly are so anal about using up precious CPU time on the iPhone (Even though I must say it's retarded).

Or just instance the server into groups of ~50 players.. It's easy to do in GS2, nonetheless. Have channels. Tons of iPhone MMO's have channels, and nobody's given a **** before, so why don't you guys do it? Jesus Christ, I want to play this game so badly, but it's extremely difficult to. The cherry on top is the guy who said "This game is literally unplayable." And he wasn't me, so he wasn't biased.

EDIT: Hell, in GS2, it'd be easy to make areas of the game that aren't channeled. Say, an auction house. That should be channel-independent, and GS2 makes it easy. Or events. Both easy and perfect for everybody.

Nobody cared about performance so much in Graal Classic because there was nothing to do and no bullets rained upon you at every second. Era is the "serious gamer's" MMO, not nearly as casual, and should be treated as such.

So I blindly pay 2 dollars for something that I don't even know if I want?

Seeing as how classic iphone is boring with absolutely nothing to do, and I got that for free...why should I shell out 2 bucks for a similar game with a different name?

And yeah, it is only 2 dollars...but thats 2 dollars I could spend elsewhere. >:[

I applaud our management for finally learning their lesson. Rather than create an awful game rapidly losing paying customers, they make a potentially awful game people have to pay for to find out is awful.

It's weird because there are different parts of the map with no players whatsoever. All the players are encouraged to stay in the center area because that is the "start point". Make more "start points" around the map to spread the players around.

There definitely needs to be multiple instances of the server. 1000 players shoved onto one world is silly. I have been saying this since Classic iPhone has been released.
I mean, even if they don't want to do anything complex it would be fairly easy to have clone gmaps on the server and let players pick when they log on.

Well good job, everything looks very cool. I'm very impressed, I was expecting a new gmap, but it's all good.

I've added some more hospitals, to spread around the players. I do think we need a bigger overworld though, I'll invest some time in to adding more levels

A larger overworld is not going to spread players out. You should create clone overworlds and let players pick which overworld to play on(while showing them how populated the worlds are, and how many buddies are on each world).

Just needs to have the "disable nicknames" cuz its making me lagg crazy!!!!!

also I don't get how some of these people are not lagging at all, can someone tell me reasons why that is? cuz my phone is basically clean. I have good wifi, not that many things added in my iphone, yet im still lagging.

It depends on what generation iPod Touch you have. The newer generations have better processors, so run apps like Graal better.

I was hoping it'd be more like real Era. Theres no freeze on the guns, you practically have auto aim, the bullets are faster, and theres hit stun.

It's not bad, I'm pretty sure no one knows that you can shovel at unstick me besides a few people that saw me lol. And playing Era helps a LOT, since I know the whole Gmap already.

Good job to the creators. The artwork for the app doesn't remind me of graal at all though!
My game is laggy perhaps for my first generations as I red. Keep the updates!

I bought the 1k Insta-Revive for a week in the hospital, got clear of hospital, and now everytime I die I revive on the spot with full health. If you pay 1k a week, no lag for you (I avoid main area completely). It helps me enjoy the game more, I've taken over bases single handedly and also pked over 400 players now.

I'm sure the app itself will be alot more intresting then current era as it has new players and a high playercount now but still whats happening with current era aswell since its just lying there doing nothing as all the main focus is on the iphone app now.

Oh yeah, could you please make it so that players cannot enter their houses when inside gang buildings? Players are going to their house when they die, so they don't get warped back to the hospital.
