Gold tab has always been chosen by Stefan and Unixmad so no PWA requirements were ever set that I'm aware of.
Send an email to [email protected] or forum pm/email one of the PWA.
Thank you all, this is exactly what I have been looking for. I have edited the relevant information into the first post, hopefully we can get someone who can make/maintain a sticky containing this info.
