Considering this is a beta, Stefan still needs to add support (not implying he will) for moving external (changing their x, y coordinates) as well as providing screen resolution variables. I.e: globalscreenwidth, globalscreenheight.

So when that gets added, docking can come back too

getdesktopresolution()
returns 800x600, for example, I think. Just need to parse it.

I don't just mean putting it at the edge of the desktop-- I can do that myself. It should act exactly how it used to, changing the width that everything else works in so that when you maximize a window it doesn't maximize over the playerlist.

I'd rather the ability to dock windows INSIDE the Graal window(thus changing GraalControl and such).

Are you talking about regular GUI controls, or actual windows? You can already 'dock' GUI controls; use Tig's (at least, I think it's his) level editor as an example. I don't see very much reason to dock actual windows inside the client.

Not via script -- I know how to do that. However, I'd like to see things like the playerlist to be able to be docked inside the Graal window. It would also fix problems with using it in fullscreen mode.

So is my memory of having a million PM windows, making my Firefox tab-thing in the taskbar impossible to find when minimized, a figment of my imagination?

Maybe 'taskbar' isn't the correct terminology, but w/e. Not really relevant to the topic, I guess.

If you read through this thread, you would have noticed that Tig has asked us to access Login 2 to receive scripted updates including the warpto selection in the player list.

I've just tried and I cannot highlight the level name in people's profile but I'm not even sure why this is annoying?

You mean you can copy the level name that a player is in? How is that annoying? That sounds more like a feature.

That's something I changed in the profile system, you cannot edit the fields of other peoples profiles now, you can only edit your own, and the Send button only appears if you've made changes to your own profile. There are some small problems with scrolling on people who have really large favorite quotes, but I plan to fix it sometime this week or so.

Do you mean startbar? Also, the external window doesn't show up in the startbar so neither should external PM windows.

Maybe. It's where your window button-thingies are. Wikipedia calls that a taskbar, so I do too.

Maybe I'm confusing my RC memories with my external PM window memories, but I'm like 90% sure the old Graal's PM stuff took up space on that bar.

This is true because I remember if I clicked into the game area while PMs were still up, I'd have to minimise the game itself just to bring the PMs back into view.

They never took up taskbar space.

Do you mean as a entry on the task bar - such as Graal, Firefox, VLC Media Player? Mine always have, as much as I can recall (very annoying).

I don't think we're all thinking of the same thing. I'm thinking of this bar:

I'd rather see that used to not ruin proof catching of a hacker.

Login to "Login 2" (as if logging on a UC server) from login to get the new playerlist.

Not really that useful, but I'm all for more control over stuff like this— it's good to make the engine more flexible.

This would probably mess up the fonts that are working correctly, though, including the defaults.

I haven't noticed a difference, but that's probably because I've only tried it on Era where we have a scripted nickname system.

My bad .

In any case, if it's that big of a deal for people, have it default bold, with the option to change the style of the font in the settings.

Maxo14 is an unknown quantity at this point
Launching the new version will probably take more than "a couple of weeks" but oh well, still waiting for new features and stuff, keep it up

I found that when right clicking someone on the playerlist, it opens a pm window...which can be very annoying when you want to warp to them, or open their profile.

And I still can't find where to change the font of chat. XD
(And I don't mean via graal_config, there should be a convinient place to change it -.-)
e2: Just realized, changing the font via graal_config doesn't even work. :P

The playerlist is very annoying now. The old one you could refocus with F7, but the updated version you have to actually select it in your taskbar. Not sure why, but it should be fixable in the script.

Also, if you have it set to open automatically, it should wait until you connect to a server, like the docking playerlist does.

lol' this is fun to do, u can hold F6, or any default key(clientrc, playerlist, ect) that makes a external window, it hides and show's very fast and "follows" the mouse.

Yeah, I get this. It also happens if you minimise to the taskbar, then bring it back up. Same effect, but black screen.

Also, someone mentioned it above, but right clicking (and single left clicking) seems to open PM windows from the Playerlist making it pretty much impossible to select an option from the right click menu, if you even manage to bring it up. What I'm noticing though is that when I'm going from Login to Login2, the Playerlist opens and closes multiple times as if it is fighting with another version of the Playerlist.

Edit: The above is because the Playerlist Tig was working on has been moved to Login (Confirmed). Going to Login2 seems to be trying to force the playerlists to replace each other, essentially creating 2 copies of them fused into 1, but that should be fixed soon.
To avoid this: Just don't go to Login2 anymore.

The weapon name is different on Login 2 so it is not being overwritten like it was before, will fix that tomorrow. The latest playerlist is on Login 1 though so just avoid going onto Login 2 unnecessarily.

Are you launching it from the Graal directory?
