Actually on iPhone you are slightly faster right now (0.6 instead of 0.5) and can beat PC players as long as you are not a complete newbie.

If they're opening the Classic iPhone server to PC players too, what is going to be the purpose of the Classic that is under construction?

Perhaps an easy way to distinguish PC players from iPhone players can alleviate that some(so iPhone players can avoid sparring with PC players if they want to). Maybe a heart advantage or something as well? I dunno, it's something that can be balanced over time.

PKing will be the biggest issue(is there even any PKing?) -- it's a form of combat that you don't choose to be in other than being at the wrong places, and an advantage there will probably be the most frustrating.

We have already said before that it can be interesting to meet PC players with your iPhone/iPod/etc. but right now it's not possible (v5 bugged on the server) and we don't know yet if it's good (more lag, different controls, different communication etc.), so we don't really need to speak yet about such problems.

I'd rather play on the PC version at the moment, for some reason my Graal on iPhone is very laggy in the outside... I can barely keep a fight with a Baddie .

What can contribute to my lagg problem? my Wi-Fi connection? the ammount of memory left on my itouch??:/

Suggestions are appriciated :P

We have added an optimization to the gserver to only send updates to players which are visible on the screen, can be configured in the server options (syncdistancex and syncdistancey).

We're constantly keeping tabs on the player count while we work, and celebrating every time it breaks the past highest record (atleast I am ).

It's growing almost daily! I personally anticipate it to break 500 players within the next month or two (considering the amount of time it's been out, and the amount of players it has drawn in).

I have traditionally been very critical of Stefan and even his aptitude as a programmer - but if there's one thing I can concede, and even do it proudly, it's that he is very effective at programming lightweight but heavy throughput control structures like the gServer and npcServer.

I'm not very informed on Classic iPhone, but presuming they allow chat - users may stick.

It's basically the same mechanism of the original Graal Classic, except in a different generation on a different device. Chatting could help form a pretty solid community, especially if it's easy and convenient to do.

Eurocenter released classic+ today, it includes the customization pack plus the future house update for 1$, same price for the customization pack on the first app

how will we get the house update????

The house update will become available in the shop when it's ready for those without the Classic+ client.

When the house update is ready, there will be a news article/notification and with the how and where.

Question... If I got this would I be able to use my current graalonline account? (The one I have stuff on?)

I know that you can't connect to other servers yet (till more are made for this) but could you use that account?

Or do we have to make an entirely new one?

Currently when you login, to quicken the process to get in game you're automatically logged into a pc:account (guest). There are plans to introduce an accounts system so you can play your same account on multiple iPhones and maybe even on the PC.

I might buy Classic+ instead of buying the house update separately, since I already bought the customization pack, maybe there will be more perks with Classic+ in the future. Might be a good investment

Otherwise, it seems entirely pointless to separate it into two apps.

:/ this disturbs me, so it was kind of pointless to buy the customization pack on the first app?

I don't want to buy the classic+ right now because I bought the customization pack already. I'm just wondering how will they offer people like me the house update

Question as well..

when will us non-iphone users be able to log on the server as a player to play with all the iphone people and convince them to play :]

Im contemplating buying an iphone just for the soul fact of 300 players on a server!

I agree... all that does is make it harder on them to update the apps (one might lag behind in the approval process, for example). It would've been much better simply sold as an in-app purchase.
