Alpha Transparency Use

So what is y'all's opinion on using alpha transparency on the edges of graphics.

I mean, it is 2009 and everything.

aslong as you apply it manually, like define the opacity yourself, then it's fine with me, you make the graphic the same as normal pixel art, it just blends in better ingame. When you used it within a graphic, for water for example, i don't think you can still call it pixel art, as you can't define the exact color of the graphic.

I'm big on it, makes things look a lot nicer 90% of the time. 10% of the time it looks funny... blurry... and it requires a good ol' fashion hard outline.

Pixel art isn't defined anywhere, and it's not like you are forced to use only pixel art on Graal anyway.

I find alpha-blending pretty hard to do with pixel-art because I have to do it with Photoshop and it's not what I pixel in. However I'm not against it if something really needs it.

It's easier to do in Paintshop Pro. I'm sure there's some better tools out there too that are more like Paint but have opacity support. If you find one, please tell me!

Paint.NET supports Opacity and can set it itself

No, that would be horrible o_o

Cool for a graffitti system or something

Speaking of, Graal needs functions to bind and render textures stored as RGBA values in arrays or something.

Dunno if "need" is a word I'd use. A lot of work for something that would never really be used.

Well that and I don't think the Triforce of Courage is lined up properly with the other Triforces.
