Eh, I'd say Run DMC was a rap group, and they were pretty active in the 80's.

Heavy Metal was 80-90's, but Power Rock was in 70's (which is pretty much the same?).
Pretty sure Black Sabbath released their first album in 1970, actually!

Hip Hop started in the 80s, there was no such thing as hip hop or rap ever getting any record deals in the 70s or earlier. Run DMC was hip hop, also not as big as Aerosmith even though they did 1 song with them. I think your just formatting Run DMC as a rap group for this arguement.

You got lucky with Black Sabbath, they were one of the few heavy metals back in the 70s, but the negros were too damn busy with disco to be fooling around with rap hiphop or any of that ****.

But even back then, heavy metal sounds nothing like it is today. Today its ****ing retarded. Again like most music.

Actually, if you want to talk about Hip Hop, Grandmaster Flash and the Sugarhill Gang were active in the mid-70's, so, again, you're wrong here.

I don't know what you're talking about re: Run DMC. I'm not the King Of Genres, I don't decide which bands are which. Run DMC has several songs in which they call themselves rappers and refer to "other rappers".

I don't know why you're talking about Aerosmith!
