So guys, i just got into NY to visit family, and it turns out my mom has an iPhone now (Which i think is funny fyi). I started playing Classic iPhone but was wondering is there anyway to associate my current account with it?

I'm really not going to even bother if it's not a possibility so i just wanted to know.

How long does it take to disconnect your player from the iphone client? o.O

I logged into iphone era, then like 15 minutes later I went to Classic iPhone, and it d/c me due to "account sharing" on era iphone.

Shouldn't be happening anyway—you can log in to two different servers at once from the same computer.

You can't do that on iPhone for some reason. It just doesn't work. It has a different system though I think.

You probably have multitasking enabled, and Graal iPhone doesn't like that. That's why I turned it off on both apps

Yeah, iPhone uses a modified version of the v6 client according to Stefan.

Why not making it open for public, so computer + iPhone can play it, would be more cooler

and for Era iPhone a special subscription or something of 2 euros per year :O so you can enter it

This is possible but it will require some thinking; PC players have a natural advantage really by the nature of the hardware.

Ive been on an iPhone server from the client.

Some random day when the iphone server first opened, I decided to try logging in on the client, and it didn't disconnect me. I messaged a few friends to come play on there...

We all got accused of hacking because we could pause and not get slashed...good times.

Personally I'm not so sure about hardware advantage anymore like Skyld said. PC players will probably get slowed to **** by the 100s of players in levels at a time.

But an iPhone will get slowed to **** much worse. Also, it's not all about the hardware quality but about the fact that a keyboard > touchscreen. Always. Also, players have much higher resolutions, being able to see much farther.

This seems rather situational but the PC is also liable to a major slowdown.
I guess I'm being rather narrowsighted but can you explain what higher resolution is going to do to your game experience other than seeing further?
Why don't we just ditch joypad functionality all together because ya know configured correctly joypad > keyboard because we have more convenience and its unfair for other PC users? Scripts can easily even the playing field if done correctly too.

The PC is liable to slowdown as well, but the iPhone runs on like... I think 300mhz CPU? If you put a PC player and an iPhone player in a level with 100 other players, take a guess as to who it's going to hurt the worst.

Also, a keyboard vs a joypad is not comparible to an iPhone controls to a keyboard. Play any game on the iPhone and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Phone CPUs are a bit weirder than normal desktop CPUs.
Up until the iPhone 3Gs iPhones all had the same 620 MHz RISC ARM CPU. The 3GS actually only had a 600 MHz CPU, which was actually an 833 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 CPU that was underclocked, and it was still much faster than the 620 MHz CPUs because of the layout of the chip.

The iPhone 4 has a custom 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 chip with a GPU built into it, so it handles video and 3D acceleration fairly well.

There are a few high end Android phones with HDMI ports built into them, because they can actually handle outputting Full HD (1080p) content, which is something that, in my experience, even midrange Laptops and Netbooks have struggled to do.

tl;dr- phone hardware and software is so different and optimized that its hard to compare with desktop hardware.

PC players would still have an advantage though because of both the other reasons Dusty said.

You get use to the ipod controls though. I am way more efficient on my ipod sparring/pking/etc than my keyboard. Typing is different though.

iPads have a higher resolution but they're allowed to play alongside iPod users. In fact, the iPad probably uses a bigger screen than I do for Graal on my PC.

I love this game. I really do, but I have problems with it too.

1. The lag in Graal City. There are too many people saying "Rate my Guild Pic", "Adopt Me!", "Recruiting 4 my Guild! We take towers!", and the list goes on. Sometimes, I want to sit in that place, without having all those people around me. I think that there needs to be a adoption center and recruitment center somewhere other than Graal City so if people want a kid who might be 20 years older than them IRL, they can. I like my peace, even on games.

2. The "OMG HIRE ME!" attitude. On PC servers, players see admins as equals that work on a server. On Classic iPhone, most players see admins as Gods who can turn into trees. There are players who dedicate their time to becoming a admin and stalking them.

3. The Staff. All the staff are great at their work, but I don't like the way they do their work. Since the start, they rarely came out, making players make a huge deal out of when they did. Those players think they are really special because of this. So, naturally, they want to be part of the awesomeness. So, they stalk the admins. That is what began my second point, in my opinion.

Iphone is nothing like the pc all the players take a different attitude to everything.
