how would i make a db npc without selecting a lvl

because i found a script in code gallery

that requires a db npc

but how do i do it without selecting a single lvl

and what is the lvl for

just choose a level that you will always have such as the onlinestartlocal level or something

The level is just the location that the NPC is in, and if you don't want to specify a level just delete the text in the level text box.

You have to place the DB NPC in a level initially, and the level has to exist. If you set the control's type to "CONTROL", it will leave the level shortly and won't exist in a level.

However, in your case, you can just place it in any level. You might want to consider making a "control.nw" level or so, and place all your DB NPCs there.
