I think it looks nice Imperial, but I would prefer you use the old green background that GraalOnline used. : ]
You could also make it darker. =D I would also love to see a "Download" button too...

I dislike the only-GK-themed images, unless you change them for each page (according to their main branch (Zone, GK, Classic, Playerworlds)

No. Screenshots work just as well. However, if you do go with a video, please make sure it does not autoplay

Colors seem too dark and gloomy, other than that it's still an improvement but I dont' see why we can't just go back to the old site before v5.

It's often easiest to drag someone in when you can find "Download" right on the main page. The less searching the easier to begin.

Maybe the navigation should go as such:

Graal Gold (Zone and Gk can both fall under this)
Graal Classic (our beloved playerworlds)
Media (front page to see what kind of game it is through screenshots or video)
Download (this could actually possibly go into media?)
Forums
and Contact

This navigation change will be implemented in the design update along with the DOWNLOAD idea.

It's not helpful.

I dont think the screenshot is bad, but it still lacks a graal feel to me. Nothing in game looks like anything on there. I think images on the website should be of what you would see in game.

That was an ugly website. I don't like it at all, as part of the community and as a webdeveloper. Ugh.

It looks too bulky, too dark. It's nothing someone would stare at and be impressed. It's too much details on it. Websites should be easy on the eyes since the important part is the information it has, not the design itself, although it helps if the design looks nice.

Light on dark is very hard for eyes to focus on.

I don't like that "Welcome to Graal Online" opening, looks very blurry, hard to read. The font size in the main content area is way too small. As said already, a website has to be easy on the eyes. I also dislike the cheap 3D button effect where the login form is located. Also, considering the rest of the layout, I don't think the rounded edges at the bottom work very well.

Agreed. But the design overall is terrible. The old website from 2005 looks better than that. And I think that one's ugly. I preferred the 2001 and 2003 designs.

But a modern website inspired by the old ones wouldn't be that bad. Like keep colors and some logos and add a Web2.0 touch or the next new thing to it.

I'm trying to work something out with the 2001 design. But since I work with webdesign, 5 days a week 9 am to 6 pm, I don't always feel like continuing doing my job for free after workhours. :P

We'll see if I get it working enough to have something to show. Then I'll show it. Some of you already know the address, I'm sure. Just pm me if there's something you propose I would need to change because it's either too much or just a bad idea.

I like it. It's Graal. Needs work, but I think it's a good start.

Why would the emptiest and ugliest screenshot you could take on a Classic server represent all of the Classic servers? Trying to represent all three at once isn't going to work, imo, Graal needs to stick to a prioritized theme. Hasn't it always been their latest official server? If so, dump Zone and stick with GK because I can't think of any other servers that could be presentable. Even GK is pushing it but atleast it's graphics are -ok-.

Looks good, Tough i think you should take some better screenshots.. Those dont really look like: WOAH AWESOME, And i would also take a modern server screenshot

thanks for the input so far, the screenshots were taken quickly, and then quickly slapped together to give an idea of where i was going, also, i made that one using my own html skills which suck, now i will try to create and template, and then someone else would have to code it.

edit: version of template itself, the screenshots still need to be changed, i would like some help with those if anyone is interested, and so far i'd like more C&C. And i hope you guys like it.

I tried to keep a bit of the graal feel, yet make it a bit fresh.

Ignore my brown...I liked brown until I relized it shoulda been green...

Try using different fonts. Infact, use the Graal Online template text thingy from the Graal client login screen..

I like it. The only thing I dont like are the fonts on the header.

Green is ugly, unless it's got something to do with nature. Especially dark green. Graal is not a dark green kind of game; it's a light color kind of game.

Make it blue. You won't find a good shade of green.

Green should be a secondary color, if anything.
