Non-pk related idea.

I have recently come across an excellent idea that would help Era in it's push for more non-pk oriented content.

Credits to Cody:

World creation.
What would be more fun than creating your own world where you will be able to choose from a list of professions while leveling up different skills to actively contribute to the town's well being? Absolutely exhilarating. As shown in the picture above, Cody here owns a farmer's market and also holds the role as a baker and fisher in his world. Right now it's nothing but fantasy, but we can turn this into real playable material. I've always wanted to play the role as a blacksmith with my own corner shop next to Cody's farm market. I could sell my best crafted goods to all the townsfolk to provide to their needs. What would you guys like to be?

Please post and build upon this idea. I would really like to see it become a reality. With Era's push for more non-pk oriented content, this would be an excellent addition to the server. Thanks!

Whoa.

I see great potential in this.

What if instead of a new gang system, we developed a new economic system?

I'm not going to lie, I've often wanted to shelve my guns and just wield my wood axe. A lumberjack is what I've dreamed of being. As a child, when other kids were playing kick the can and freeze tag, I would just stare at trees, wondering how I could get them to topple. I wanted to break the root systems, hack away at their innards. Part of this dream was realized when Era introduced the wood-cutting system. However, with everyone shooting me while I try to cut down my trees, it's nearly impossible to get any good wood. And I have no price control! I only get one price per different log. If I could just set up a stand somewhere next to the Casino and set my own outlandish prices, maybe, just maybe, I could feed my family something other than the flesh of their youngest sibling.

And maybe we could do away with money altogether! Have a communal storage. Become a socialist society. There's no wars, strife, or anything of the sort. Just harmony, free wood and food for all, and virtual instruments with horrible timing playing in the background.

This is no longer Era. This is social utopia.

I really do hope that the rest of Era agree.

A good lad of mine owns a wood shop down the main road into the woods. I reckon you pay him a visit he will be more than happy to buy off some of your wood stock.

Roleplay is always neat, and it could create an interesting new aspect for Era.

Oh, is that so? Is that the house with the two chimneys and a green roof?

Just curious, what does he use the wood for? I'm a stickler for the humane treatment of wood.

If it's going to be fashioned into fine furniture or lovely statues like an upright Grizzly about to maul an innocent passer-by, that's good. If he's going to grind it into oblivion and make paper out of its molecules and blood, then I cannot support this.

He's an astonishing craftsman. You should pay a visit and take a gander at some of his art work. The finest furniture in the mayor's hall was crafted by him. The statue of Sir Michael Douglass located in town center was even hand crafted by him in under 2 days.

Good lord, that fine piece of work? Good, I was worried he was like Marvin Trekadero, the modern/cubist artist (the gallery near the gym) who does sculptures of various "famous" people wearing afros playing instruments. He uses mostly metal and clay for the actual statues, but then desecrates wood by sprinkling dyed sawdust on the afro to give it more texture. Not only is his art terrible, but his treatment of wood is absolutely inhumane.

But for this fine craftsman, I feel as if I should just give him the wood free of charge.

But alas, my family does need nourishment.

This must be a joke, and I'll assume it is and call the people that fell for it the pinnacle of Graalian Intelligence. "A new aspect of Era", rofl. That isn't a new aspect of era, that isn't even era at all.

Ha ha ha. I don't think he would dare let you pass off that wood for free laddy! He won't let you leave without payin' ya. He runs quite a good business over there. Very honest man.
