This is illegal and the terms of use would never persist in an law action.

How are we ment to develop if our work can be taken anytime when we decide to stop a project? Are we in the udssr here?

I can understand that the files are CJ's out of legal reasons - so they can publish them without a problem - but this is going TOO far.

No it's not, and yes they would.

You rent server time, and as soon as you upload something on that (or any other server), it becomes property of Cyberjoeurs. If you don't like it, don't sign up for an account and definitely don't rent a server.

I'm honestly getting sick of Utopia, as I'm sure you are, too. I never gave anyone permission to use the content. However, I really don't care if they want to. The server will never go anywhere, anyway.

If it makes it any easier, I'll give permission to Veteranspy. I haven't done a thing for Utopia in atleast a year anyway.

The PWA's stand on Utopia is that the content rights belong to Veteranspy. If he chooses to give them away its his call now. Its our understanding that he uploaded the content onto this server for development. PowerProNL is the host server, not the owner. Until such time that Veteranspy contacts one of the PWA and transfers ownership, it will remain that way.

While its true that Stefan could give away anyones content that was no longer used, we do not work that way. We are not going to give away someones work just because they can't pay to rent a server for a few months. As long as owners can be contacted we will still respect the fact the work was done by them and ask for permission for its use. I personally will not sit still and watch people wait for the day a server goes offline then hand their stuff off to someone that just wants a partially completed server to finish and claim as their own.

Fair enough I suppose. I don't recall giving away permission like that, but I guess I did . Wasn't planning on doing anything about the server anyway, I just wish they would wake up and realize Utopia is junk.

This thread has no purpose now anyways, not that we wanted him to post hirings on forums, cause how easily I could find a decent staff roster. Then again, Vet and me had this wild idea to find someone to buy a server solely for Utopia, and we did (how odd o.o)

So its hosted on a different server anyways. This guy just liked abusing our toolset for nonworking purposes. No point in contacting him for a job and/or continuing this thread.
