According to the weeks, I was voluntary responsible for the game police part, there seems to be everything alright with the server now.
About what the job as game police should be understand as, I was preventing players from cheating, hacking and locking players to protect the last few fair playing players on zone from that abusers, cheaters and hackers. Reports from my side to an admin with banning rights, especially at urgent or repetitively rule breaking and other inacceptable behaviors. And pooper20000 and I belive Jkool kind of aswell, where very pleased with how am I was doing that part.
I was treating everyone the same, since rules apply to everyone, and everyone has the same rights. No exception, just cause I know him, I dont like him or I do like him, that would totally spoil it.
But it is hard not to abuse the powers, thats as first a thing every staff member needs to be capable of handling, especially if the person needs those powers cause probably he'll never get a foot into the doors of zone, without having these powers and needs to abuse them for the own needs. Good thing I know im pretty skilled on ufzone, always was and ever will be, so those commands wouldn't serve me any use for my own doings.
But if I see people crying for events, which I cleary told, that I am not hired to host something, beg me for hours, I made something little every now and then and spoke with jkool about it. Since those things weren't part of my job and the people got it told, it just didn't reach far enough into the peanut brains.
Shows that handfull weirdos on zone prefer abbusive staff, hire that schwadgo123 or whatever hes called. That should statisfy the needs of those players.
Someone like "place a random name of random abusers in here" should also be taken in consideration. People seem to enjoy theyr glitching, and half the server gets on the fronts if theyr hero of cheating gets send on suspension for a week.
And finally you need someone, who knows tools, how they work, and where people can get em. Whenever there is a hacker around, people walk with him and find it funny what he does, oh look he walks trough walls and shoots ice like chaingun. Asking how he does it and where to get the tools, that guy just shares his programms with them.
That should be the best Team, for those weird bunch of people that nowadays play zone.
After I had the position and rights removed on my own enquiry, for a while, I wont take it back up, even if I still could. Cause I don't care about that game, especially about the majority of sick peoples that playing it, anymore. |
