Anyways, Supernicks needs to have something Exodus' Spar doesn't. Right now it's just another Spar.

Seeing as how exos is better than any spar we've had (at least in my opinion,) outside of Ibo's...not sure why we would need to delete it.

Exodus sparring arena is ****.
Tbh the main reason why I personally don't spar is because it takes too long to keep on typing /join spar then /start and wait for the other person to say /start too...
Then if you die, you have to keep on repeating it again and again.

It'd be nice if sparring was less effortless somehow... Perhaps a mouseclick?

Way back in the day we always used to drop a single Gelat instead of a bomb; there was no risk of the explosion injuring anyone, and rather than switching to the Bomb weapon a Gelat could be dropped with a quick roll of the fingers over the S and A keys.

Kill raises an interesting point though, that joining spars could be made quicker; rather than using the mouse click we could go one better and have keyboard shortcuts direct for joining the spar queue and starting, something like Alt+Q and Alt+S respectively. These are the kind of ideas I wanted to get more of in this thread.

no feggot just make a mini quest where you can earn an npc that makes it able for you to join queues and eventually spar.

GET IT MAKE A MINI QUEST. so that you can get a npc, and when you enable it in your items list, all you do is press D which puts you automatically on the queue list.. Even for small things like this you could make people do a quest for it, just to be busy.

Exodus' spar currently accepts Exodus' spar currently accepts "I call winner," "join spar," "join queue," and "/join spar" commands to allow you to enter the spar queue. The reason for this is because it is more convenient for players that come from servers with a spar queue, which would be all other servers. We covered the whole list of ways in joining a spar because it makes it easier to enter, and you don't have to work out the command or read a sign to figure out how to simply get into the spar.

When Ibonic was designing his spar we did discuss the repeated effort you have to make when you're sparring constantly, so he added a command you could chat once which automatically placed you into the queue until you left or canceled it. I think we need something like this, rather than having weird and inconsistent keyboard shortcuts.

I was being serious when I said it takes too much effort to type to spar.
It's really annoying (for me anyway) because I just want to get on with the spar rather than wait around typing...

What's wrong with adding a shortcut in joining spars/starting spars faster whilst keeping the previous /join spar /start commands?

Change it to something shorter like /join or /spar....but don't add a hotkey b/c some ppl are too lazy to type something despite the fact that they type all day long.

You'd benefit from it too guys, it's not just for me since I raised the issue; I'm sure there are others who want to have things done faster.

if a few people wanted i dont see why not as long as its not a frequently used key so that people dont accidently queue themselves.

I don't think people are getting worked up over it kill. I just think people never saw it as a big problem, so they don't really care if it gets done or not. If it is changed, it might make sparring constantly a bit easier. If it isn't, then few people will care b/c (apparently) it isn't a big issue to most.
