The password change still works but I think he's asking for a personal password and not a password generated by Graal.

Personal passwords were, as far as I know, never possible. Some have gotten some personal ones through Stefan, I know that, but I think that's it. Would be better if it was possible to choose your own password though.

Supposedly the problem was people were choosing (or would choose) lame passwords that others were easily guessing.

I agree with personal passwords, though I've memorized my current one.

Perhaps there should be a mandatory number of letters, numbers, etc in the password.

This could work quite well, to be fair. Say like, 8 characters in including lowercase, higher case and numbers.

That would be nice... I hate the graal generated passwords, as probably many have experienced they are simple to misplace then forget.
If you were able to make your own password you could remember and access it from different places rather then just one computer.

It might have a good idea to have a passwords strength bar and a list possible ways of imporving the passwords.

I like the idea of having a limit of at least <No.> of Uppercase, <No.> of Lowercase and <No.> of Numbers, this way it will be personal but at the same time be complex and hard to hack.

Most passwords get "hacked" because the security question the user have input are easy to crack. Easy passwords can still provide a good level of security for accounts because most websites have measures to stop brute force hacking. But saying that it's still always a good idea to have a strong password.

Although having a strong password is good, a computer generated password is difficult to remember, therefore easy to forget, whilst a personal one can be strong as well as simple for the user to remember.

This is true but most people are not capable of creating a strong password. I usually use the left-up technique when creating passwords making my passwords extremely strong to break.

That's why you supply them with a limit of at least 5 upper case and so on.

I don't believe the use of supper case is needed for a strong password. My passwords are strong without using any upper case.

Well you know the thing that classifies passwords as strong, moderate and weak on some sites, we could use one of those.
