Since when does a handgun shoot 3 bullets at an immence speed? And why is it in the rifle section anyway? Doesn't that defete the purpose of the name "Handgun"? Just wanted to bring this up.

Muro used to be a demon with the handgun...

The best way to beat a handgun user is to charge him. The handgun doesn't do much damage, but it dominates at long range. If you go in close you can really rip through their HP reserves before they even dent you because, like I said, the handgun doesn't do much damage.

It still stuns you too make it harder to rush, and even if you do rush it, it can do 30 damage pretty fast like revo said.

handgun is only usefull 1 on 1. if you just run at the user, their slow class and fire rate (and a bit of skill on your part) and you will have no problems.

Handgun is perfect for laming.

someone if following you and you just strafe and run back. ALWAYS 1 bullet will hit your enemy at least.

(if he/she is following you of course)

I'd rather take the downside of a handgunner bound to a slow class, and the short range of the handgun, encountered with a faster class and a long range riffle, slowly draining his health if he'd be able to dodge a bit.

Handguns and other strafing weapons don't should have existence right in tiny spar rooms anyways.

If someone is strafeing and running backwards... Do the exact same to them. Nearly every class has a rifle that can shoot the distance of Handgun.

Also, as Dante said. Rush them, handgun is extremely useless up close.

Nearly every commonly used riffle, except for blueriffle, has a higher range than the handgun, or at least the same range.

Some riffles overbid the handgun in range by far, thats why the handgun, for a riffle, has a very short range.

Generally, even if the handgun looks odd, with the 3 bullets out of a tiny pistol shooting at unrealistic angles, and has a pretty confusing name for a riffle, im glad it's not in the pistol section.

Else you could be able to dual wield it...

I didnt see lot of people with handgut but the guys I saw, owned.
It's only lame if someone knows how to use it.

The bullets fly in a predictable set pattern. Use it to your advanage, and stand between the bullets, and progress closer. Using a weapon with more spread and bullets, like a shotgun for instance, is an easy way to counter it. Any long ranged weapon works well, too, if it surpasses the handgun's range, because you'll only have to worry about one bullet coming at you at a time as the other two diagnol shots only fly at your far flanks. I can't see why there's whining about this, but one thing you have to watch out for is if you're using a melee weapon, due to the fact that handguns have no minimum range and will most likely hit you if you charge them or try to circle them.

Ghost Rifle does 1 more damage per bullet and shoots the bullets the same way everytime no spread. The handguns bullets are random and will fly all over the place giving the ghost rifle an advantage. The easiest way to kill a handgun user, rush.

Handgun has a crap range and 3x10 is nothing compared to 2x20 which appripers have they are also faster at shotting in close range. Also handguns spread is easy to dodge. If you don't believe me fight a spar bot with a handgun and you'll see it maneuver through the bullets easily. People strafing with handgun is simple to get away from. Just walk to the spot they aren't strafing from.. or rush them with a appriper or bps or enhancerpulsar. Or simply fight a handgun with a handgun
