Classic Graal Kingdom's?

Making the server a Classic Server would fix the Economy's problem. Most oldbies quit due to not wanting to pay the Gold Subscription.
So take away the Gold Subscription for GK, and you have TONS of players with Classic Accounts. This will support the return of players who don't want to pay to play. This, in turn, bring more items back, and more items into circulation drives down the cost of other, rarer, items. Economy fixed.
(Credit to Zeltino)

Good Reason's:
Many old player's with items and such will come back since they dont wanna pay for Gold
More people to trade, stimulating the economy.

Bad Reason's:
Stefan and Stephane not getting any money... Poor them

I say, there need's to be an Event System. Having player's working as Event Team Member's isnt working, and have never worked for year's in the past. Code a system to do Raffle, to do Labyrinth, to do over event's. The system not only would be more effective on giving out item's, it would be random, and it would be more accurate.

Any add on's to Good and Bad reason's?

BTW, Sorry for the Poll Spelled wrong. Trying to get the post up fast didnt help anything...

You'd have to seriously weigh out the Pro's and Con's of making the server Classic before voting on this imo. There are many good and bad reasons.

Don't think of the gold subscription required for Gk in terms of money. It actually regulates the flow of players and helps us keep a certain level of elitism.

If Stefan didn't care about money, it would happen, and a great thing to happen. However, everyone cares about money.

You haven't considered ALL of the pro's and con's. Seriously if you're going to deliver a good argument, atleast deliver a fair argument, based on good facts/opinions.

The event system is fine, EM's are fine, their are a good number of them and they make sure events are hosted when the server is at a good playercount. Also, a system can't monitor everything in special events, like foul play and stuff. It wouldn't be the same.

Gold membership, being successful on a gold server, is like a status symbol.

Look at most popular classic tabbed servers. All of them, regardless of the server's quality, are regarded as having stupid, immature, and just plain pitiful communities. Kingdoms on the other hand, isn't completely open to the public, so it's free from all those random idiots. Also, when you spend money to play a game, chances are you aren't going to act like an immature idiot and get ran off.

No, and there are already plans to make GK more friendly to non-gold subscribers. I also don't think it would fix any economy problems.

The majority of Graal's idiots are not on GK. In terms of percentage, GK has a low percentage of idiots. Whereas a server like Zodiac, has almost 100%.

If I was asked a few months ago I would have said yes. But Kingdoms just went through a huge management change. Development is actually happening. But I do think people who have been playing longer should get a discount for resubscribing like in the old days.

I would enjoy that, instead of paying $50 bucks a month. Was $35 or so when I re-subscribed last time.

You're telling me, i would never resubscribe. The £ is hella week now and their asking for £35 basically, it used to cost me like £12-14.50, which i could deal with, as it would hardly buy much booze n weed. But £35?! I'd rather buy an 1/8 and a bottle of hennesey .

And you can't get a plain subscription anymore you have to buy Gelats to pay for subscriptions.

You fail to realize that the subscription nowadays is for all servers and not just specific one(s). Cheaper price, bigger package. Plus you can chose to use the Gelats month-by-month, thus pausing the subscription if the need should arise.

It was like that to begin with, it just wasn't as expensive. Plus there where no Gelats. Then they changed it to GK and Zone subscription, which worked out well for me. Even with the older system you could get the same Gold package.

How is it cheaper price now? I used to pay £14 for a year of gold + lifetime classic, or £19 for a years VIP. Now it's £35 all inclusive for the year w/o lifetime classic. Thats more than a 100% rise since you could value lifetime classic at quite a bit considering how much a years classic costs now.

The current package is what used to be:
  • Lifetime Classic (althought not lifetime anymore)
  • Kingdoms Gold
  • Zone Gold
  • Playerworlds Gold

And if you want to get really technical, it's a lot cheaper then these were combined:
  • Lifetime Classic + # months of Gold
  • # months of Gold
  • VIP

Than there wouldn't be much incentives to buy a Gold subscription which also leads to Graal losing revenue.
