For what exactly do you need it? It was showing only yourself on the map, the new one is easy to open an also shows enemies and base owners

For a quick and easy glance at where you are on the map, I suspect. Sometimes it's more important to know where YOU are, instead of where others are.

for what reason do we need the new one?
1. it doesnt block trials main viewing point EVERY time we go on the map
2. no one gets bases anymore, so whats the point of a map blocking our view saying GET BASES !!!!1111
3. the little map was little and in the corner of our screen...and cute.

I don't mind not having the minimap, but it's better to have it there, in my corner, not taking any place, acting all cute, than have to press M and get lamed because of the lag and the fact that I can't see anything, and that it takes like 10 seconds to take off. Not counting the, oh-so loved by the gods, stupid text we have to deal at each spwan, and do I have to explain how ennervating it is when you are lamed?

Quick reference for your positioning without having to open the big map. Same reason why games like GTA and Zelda have both minimaps and largemaps.

Also, you need to fix the big map so when you move, your head also moves. Currently you have to re-open the bigmap to see your new position. The minimap doesn't have this problem.

The big one is a nuiscance because you have to constantly open it and close it to know where you are on a map.

It also takes up your whole screen so you can't see your radar.

Nor can you use it to help steer your bikes (which is what I always used my mini map for) since the head doesn't keep up with your position, you have to open it and close it.

I'm all for the mini-map being put back.

You forgot that the big one opens every time you spawn onto Iricia.

The mini-map was superior by far. The big map was a nice attempt, but it isn't working out very well unless some major adjustments take place.
