Sorry, over dithered on this one. I wanted to give it that weird crystaly, scratched texture you find in natural jems. Here I took out alot of dithering. Might be hard to see

Ya, you should avoid dithering on pieces that are intended to be smooth.

After your edit though, it still needs a lot of cleaning up. Stray pixels inside the cystal makes it still appear grainy and such.
