New Macbook, Low framerates

It seems that whenever I encounter more than 10 or so people my framerate drops to a nearly unplayable level. I've tried disabling particles, lights, and weather. I'm not sure if this is something that can be addressed outside of an update to the client, but any help would be wonderful.

Macbook 2.4ghz Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, Intel X3100 graphics processor.

The Graal client for Mac is dreadful. Sorry to tell you.

The reason it runs so horribly is because it's made to run on PPC Macs, and your computer is an Intel Mac.

I've got the same problem (or rather, I did).

Stefan gave me the beta version for Mac (which is an Intel version) and it runs very smoothly. Far better than the Windows version anywhere I've seen it.

Unfortunately, he said it's going to be a while since the Windows version is still quite behind the Mac client, and he can't release one before the other.

You could try asking Stefan (forum PM him) if you can have the beta version, but I think he's reached his quota of testers.

Alright, thanks for the response. I'm quite happy knowing that an improved version is in the pipeline, that was what I was hoping for actually.
