I don't think this is such a case.
Most people are wanting a better solution to food.
I pray to Ogma. At level 29 wisdom, the create food payoff still sucks.
I get a regeneration bonus from RoS and RoW which speeds up my food consumption. It's ridiculous enough as it is- and to think it'll only get faster when I get a 2nd RoW, and maybe other regen items?
Even if I didn't need demon stone, what if I wanted to use another good amulet? Do I have to be limited to either using the cheap sucky amulet of sustenence, or selling my soul+life savings+dignity+anything else i can offer for a ridiculously rare/expensive Amulet of Ghost Pirate (i can't think of any other good, or at least decent, item that'll save my foodbar)? Those are the only two solution I see.
The only time I stay fed is when I'm killing monsters. Even then it's risky; I might end up eating a collection of hearts when I turn away from the screen for a few minutes.
Edit: Let's not forget: Graal is traditionally about being able to walk around doing random stuff; basically whatever you want (within the game's limits). Now we get a disadvantage if we're not constantly hunting for food. I don't think Graal Kingdoms was supposed to be a game focused on food. If so, maybe they need to put less emphasis on releasing new weapons/shields/kingdom-stuff,etc, and focus more on the baking/farming/food aspect of the game. And also change the name to "Graal Foods" or some crap like that.

The food-regen spell idea
should require high-level wisdom so it won't end up like the old days when everyone was getting fed by "restoration". This way there will be less people who can cast it, more likely than not, they'll use it on other people, but it won't be so easy for them to keep the whole server fed 24/7. That's why the level-requirement is key.
But, as you were implying, that doesn't solve the problem for low-levels. Maybe we just need a whole 2nd solution for that. Maybe an automated-MMT system where only low-levels or newbies can use it.
Or you can just forget everything I said and realize this: Low-levels can focus on saving up to get an amulet of sustenance. When they're high-leveled enough in wisdom, they should be able to use a food-regen spell (the one we're proposing). If they don't like to level up wisdom, they should have a friend or two who can restore their food.
So in conclusion, I think the solution to our food problem is a food-restore spell that requires a high wisdom level. The effects will trickle down from the power players to the weaker ones.
