The horse idea is probably better than a wagon... actually, it should be for other pets too. Maybe each one can carry a different weight.

Why not? It's just a bag, except now you're letting a horse/pet carry it. I suppose it should be a different bag, like a new "pet sack" or something. Then you should be able to drag-and-drop the bag for the pet to hold your items, or just hold on to it to use yourself; except you'll be weighed down since it's NOT a sack of holding.
