You're right - and it doesn't matter about the mechanics of it; Levelling shouldn't be easy.

Although that doesn't go to say it should be ridiculously hard - to the point of deterring players... which exactly what this is a reaction to - people who got to higher levels found the game unfinished. When I say unfinished I mean that there is nothing to the skill level of someone above... say... level 30? Anyone looking for a challenge at that point has to shift from a challenge of skill to one of patience - as they try to level up at a acceptable rate with monsters designed for lower level players.

And there really is no excuse on the administrations side. They could simply make a wolf like the current one but with the name "Elder Wolf" (or something equally lame) with higher attributes (such as damage, or HP).

If you read one of Tig's post on the last page or page before. I think he is working on some monsters sometime =O

I think someone should take the mosters that gods are good against and make some... so they are all as useful as the other...
