Password Protection

Well, just that bit extra.

New command: - '/protectaccount'

You can now lock your account with a password. Please, remember this password, as local staff won't reset it. Only global staff will. This will prevent people you don't want logging on to your account. There's not going to be a password change, so make sure that only you know the password. You'll also see a private message from the NPC server once you've chosen your password. Please, keep this safe.

Passwords are also locked to local staff, here's my password

A nice system, but it seems like it is extraneous...

If you want to prevent people from logging on to your account, just don't let anyone know your account password.

Hackers, alot of reports of people logging on to accounts and dropping items. This will prevent that.

prevents the whole "my brother/sister/cousin/cat did it" excuse also.

So by creating this you practically say it's legal to share account's.

He will probably counter with the "what about pc id protection" question. Well, there are some peeps who have ****s as brothers/sisters who randomly log into your acc and abuse it. Yesh, I already made that experience.

If someone else has the password to your account, it's either account sharing, or that you have a bro or sis. Whom should not be able to log in anyway. If you have a secured graal client. Or your just stuipid in my opinion. (If you give out your password that is).

So I don't really think a thing like this is necissary. Alteast it wouldn't be on the top of my priority list when it comes to Era. Like expanding the gmap.

Accounts are hackable/scammable/phishable. That has been proven several times in the past, even if the "victim" has a very secure computer, and is not dumb.

Only if they download hacks etc. That keyloggs them then yes.

For those like 1 person maybe, that actully gets hacked. It could be useful.

Face it. There only going to keep complaining with ye, Crow. Boy, this feature seems useless and useful, though you going to have to realize more people ain't gonna use this.

Question about this feature... is their any way to turn it off or change your password? I made mine just to see what it is like, and I can't turn it off or even change the password for Era... might want to have some way of doing this?

I have removed your Password Protection and password from your Era login. I personally don't believe we need something like this, and it'll most likely be removed.
