I don't know, doing things offline always had the benefit of being quicker and easier, responsive and such.
Of course there are benefits to having online editors, but it depends on if you personally prefer one thing over the other.
I certainly don't want to see the offline editor fade into nothingness, I'd love to see it actually updated with new features such as layers and such.
And I don't know if it's possible, but if there were to be an updated one for newer GS2, at least scrap the GS1 in it and have a syntax tester for GS2. I don't know if that's possible without actually implementing GS2 in it. If not, then just scrap GS1 syntax tester(maybe include pretty print) and leave the formatting button. |
