Yea, why not? Well, because then you could buy/do everything everywhere.

Adding mines to kingdom islands is logically sound in a sense that a kingdom would settle near areas with high resources to supplement their kingdom's growth over time. Also, each island has a mountain of some sort though it doesn't really matter.

If that island doesn't work, you could always stick the entrance deep into the stone mines.

What would be on the island: sparse grass, lots of ruins, 1 central archive, monsters, stone bomy lord, new quest area, new dungeon, maybe a few new items.
Themed Area 5: Sunken City of Bomy
Basically this island sunk at the same time the floating island disappeared. A recent glyph appeared glowing near the castle wall in central bomboria. Someone stepped on it and was taken to the underground city. This person was a warrior but even he had to run for his life for the ancient bomy were strong. He learned from a scroll before he left that a Aquatic Bomy Lord once ruled the island and when the island had begun to sunk he went into a chamber to slumber till someone foolish enough wandered in.
What would be needed: Ancient looking buildings, new bomy's, new items, new dungeon, aquatic bomy, a water type particle effect. Like it would look like water was around you. A deep water dungeon.
