Well I cant say I like the tile of the dirt path...but im not a fan of that dirt pathing anyway...
Use a larger diversity in the tiles to make a less repeatable feel in it...

I know, I cant GFX any good myself either but...

Yea, I agree. I like dirt paths, but I always make them too neat. I have a hard time making it look like worn places in the grass where people walk, you know?
I will keep trying.

How about something like my attached thumbnail? The key is to using all (or most) of the available dirt-grass tiles to make some interesting shapes. Good luck

Added some color, not sure I like it, but it just for practice anyway. Will probably change it a million times, or not.
Opinions? Suggestions?

Going to start working on cliffing now.....joy.

I have been looking at the Zhalla levels, but I have very few finished ones. Fun Island was great. I loved it. Too bad N-Pulse has the rights to it.

Thanks for the compliment. It means alot to me, considering I think you are one of the best level makers out there.

You're more than welcome, and thanks. I should send you the full Zhalla.

So what are you going to do with this map once it's finished?

I don't know. It's just for practice. I am working on learning how to piece cliffs together now. It is so hard.

PM me your email, or MSN (if you have it) and I will send you it.

And yeah, Cliffing was the probably one of the last things I mastered.. Wan taught me how to do it properly. I think it's probably the most suck part of leveling.

Looks much nicer with the trees closer to the path. You're very productive.

Wanna see some close ups soon.

I really like the transition from cliffs to "beach" tiles in the upper left island along with the beach parts on the center island
Not a big fan of the red or yellow trees, yellow especially but you seem to have done the red trees very nicely. I would like to see what the yellow tree forest looks like in the end. Very nice job

Thanks. I am not liking the yellow trees. I will probably change it, as it doesn't look good in masses. Part of me likes the red, but part of me doesn't, lol

Haha.
I filled up everything with trees, because I like wooded areas. When I want to add stuff, I will just clear the trees.

New map...I dulled the yellow trees, so I didn't go blind.

Blue one: The roof corners don't match and there are a few grass edged corners on the roof :P. A bit jagged but otherwise cool

Brown one: Not sure if that is a roof or a courtyard in the back but otherwise fair good.

Yea, that's what I thought too on the blue one.

That is like a back porch on the brown one.

I wouldn't say wacky. It has potential, i don't like the choice in the roof tile you used. Try a different roof, it looks to fragile to me. That might sound a little weird but it's hard to imagine that roof on a building like that. Or if you like the roof too much, you can just add more detail to it. But as always your work is looking good

I like it but some of the roof tiles don't match properly. :/

Very creative! I'd love to see a bridge to the East joining the two islands! Keep it up

Thanks. I tend to go a little crazy when I do bridges. I don't do straight.
