well, thats fine by me, i agree; mining IS pretty lame.
these are all the little things and ideas ive been coming up with, because, i, too, dont want another Era:
-stealing/blowing up cars
-breaking into player houses to steal and/or sell whatever you take
-graffitti (typo?)
-motorcycle/car races/MTX competitions
-warfields where you can have huge shootouts
-events like paintball or something i dunno ill worry about events later
-evading cops, because i want to have a star system like gta's
-
and many more things that ill edit the post to type up later.
there wont be any storyline in particular, but there will be missions you can do for certain people, and doing missions will unlock other people that you can do missions for; and all these missions will be similar to GTA missions.
for example: you will plant explosives on a car, or you will hijack a plane and blow it up, or you will fight a helicopter with a minigun on top of a dam; just things of that nature.
ive already started on making guns, because, as i already stated, i want to have a huge gun selection, because when i play era or a modern server, its mainly for the guns, and i just want players to have the ability to choose from like a hundred different guns, knives, swords, etc; ranging from western guns, to things you would see on the show Future Weapons. im going to make it so GP is Cop instead, so if i get that star script, there will be character cops and npc cops, so if you get in a huge firefight with them, more than just you can enjoy it. you will gain money the same way you did in GTA: blowing up things or picking up dropped money from killed people or completing missions.
another script i really need, that would make the server unique and better, is pedestrians. if there were random pedestrians walking around and driving cars, they would be the things you could shoot and steal from, but ive been told that that is hard to do, (thats why im at the forums X_X)
another idea i had, which is taken from gta san andreas, is having a Respect meter or something with a name similar to that, and thats like your point meter, and the better criminal or civilian or whatever "path" you want to take would subtract/add points to that meter, and that way there'd be a way for the hardcore players to judge who was REALLY the best XD
