I'm sorry, who?
Edit:
I decided to intrude on this argument a little further.
Ravenblade, it is wrong for you to boycott an event just because someone is better at it than you. Imagine if people didn't let you get jobs because you knew too much. That doesn't make much sense, now, does it?
You're right, Ravenblade, you're not a machine to host events, it's good that you're able to identify that, maybe you are making a little progress; but it's your duty as an events master to hold events without bias towards other players. I think it's clear to me that you're jealous of Majin and his ability to win events, it must be hard to be a useless, pathetic piece of crap, and I feel for you, Ravenblade, I really do.
It's pretty sad that GK has been a part of my life for many years now, an every day part of my life, but now it's so disgusting it's driven me away to logging on maybe twice a week. The thing is, I'm not sick of it, I'm sick of most of the staff team. Something needs to be done. Someone who doesn't have an inability to think logically needs to have some sort of power on Graal Kingdoms to fix this dump.
It's nice that people have tried fixing GK by hiring people like Ravenblade, but I think it's time to cut your losses and move on to what really needs to be done: someone intelligent needs to have some sort of power besides Björn.
I like Björn, but he doesn't cut it. Sam is a blithering ***** and will probably give me 50 infractions for this message because he can't handle the heat.
Alright, now lets take a look at the causes of GK's major faults:
-Lack of work being done
^ Result of lack of talented staff
^ Result of lack of trust
^ Result of talented staff abusing powers
-Lack of in-game support
^ Result of stupid decisions by management
^ Result of stupid decisions by players/high staff to have new management.
- Lack of content
^ Lack of work being done
^ Lack of in-game support
*^ How is it a lack of in-game support?
* Because if there was in-game support more people would play, which in return would bring new development opportunities to GK.
It's like a big circle of nothing being done, ever; Quite sad, really.
So lets take a look at some more of GK's faults:
- Things are being disabled, but nothing new is being introduced to balance it out.
- Rare changes are being made about GK without the consent of how the players feel about it. (i.e. spar system)
- Events are being held, yeah, the same 5 events that have been held over and over again for 5 years.
How can we improve GK?
- New content (it doesn't take much work, even just recoloring some monsters and making them harder/give more exp would work)
- New maps (harder treasure maps, harder dungeons, confusing puzzles, randomly-generated instances of maps)
- Stuff to spice up GK a bit (maybe some shops to spend large amounts of platinum coins on nice shields and/or swords that rarely generate)
- Events held by NPCs
- More support with disciplinary issues (some GPs who aren't retarded, please)
- Additions to make kingdom castles and being in kingdoms more reasonable (maybe shops inside of kingdom shops that are controlled my merchants of the kingdom, etc... wouldn't be very hard...)
- More quests, that are more interesting than just delivering items, maybe games have to be played in order to get a quest item to deliver to someone.
- More, unique development decisions made by people who know what they're doing.
- Fire inactive people, like SmallLars, who I haven't seen on in well over three years, and replace them with good, active developers.
- Stop trying to justify and defend the poor decisions of the past staff, and the current staff team, and listen to some of the players every once in a while.
- Fix bugs, don't hotfix them.
- Give more reason to be a higher level than just PKing people who happen to be BMode outside of a dueling arena.
- Stop denying me and let me help GK, how many times do I have to tell you that? |
