Alan glanced at his reflection in the mirror of the private bathroom in the Governor’s mansion. There was the same familiar spark in his sea green eyes, and the same mischievous smile that greeted him three years ago when he first came to this place. But this day was a different day. And the face he saw today was different in a subtle way he couldn’t quite identify. Maybe it was the will and the heart behind the face that had changed, and the outward appearance was a reflection of a content man, no longer driven to conquer and strike terror into the hearts of all who oppose his beloved kingdom. He was no longer looking forward to the anticipation of future battles and glory as before, instead today he was fondly recalling the long years of Crescent Pirates undefeated wars and total supremacy on the seas, and the valor and honor of CP members past and present who made this possible. As he scraped the stubble off his face, the blade caught a new battle scar on his chin and blood swirled down the drain. Yes, he thought as he focused on the swirling blood, it is time.

((I will be resigning my commission as Governor of CP sometime in the next month, to spend more time on other things. I have done everything I wanted to do while leading CP, made some wonderful friends along the way, and I have no regrets. I want to thank all those who helped CP succeed over these past few years - a king is only as good as his core group of fellow leaders, and I have been blessed with some good ones. I will still be around GK, just not as often (once you’re hooked, you never quite give it up, even if there’s nothing new to do).

For my last event as Governor, I would encourage CP members to post a short blurb or story about something that happened during my tenure here on forums. I will pick out a few of the good ones and give those members prizes.

I will be taking nominations for a new Governor, both in-game and here in forums. Only CP members on the roster as of today at this moment are eligible. Ultimately, I will make the final decision, but I will take the nomination posts into strong consideration, as well as the opinion of other CP leadership.))

I've had many happy years while under your reign. I will miss you as our leader and I doubt we'd get a leader that matches up to your skills and bring us all the success we've had.

Alan, my friend and my leader.. The time of your reign could be said as the Pirates' most active and glorious times on Graal Kingdoms byfar. I'm sure that the new leader will be a great one and lead the Pirates' through everything, good and bad, war and peace, etcetera. You will be in the hearts of all Pirates for ever, and missed by the people who both respected and feared you. Farewell mate and good luck in life and your future.

The story I've picked to share is of the day I got promoted to Captain.

The day was perfect.
Golfys Royal Navy was attacking our harbour. We drove them out and they fled to samuria island to launch a strike on our island.
So the Tornado Squadron: (Myself, Felix and dear old Captain Eric) quickly rush to our boats and launched a raid on them before they could attack us. We sailed into samuria waters to find GRNs fleet there. Just ready to depart. Formed a line formation to block them from going into CP waters without going through us. Eventually it happened. They came at us and need less to say, we destroyed them. We sailed back to Crescent Isle to relax when one our pirates: (Kuja) told us that GRN were launching another assult on Crescent Isle. We quickly board our ships this time with Kuja helping us and we drive them away again.
After that, Myself, Felix and Eric decided to protrol the seas. Sinking anything that has a mast. After we finished Eric said he was impressed with mine and Felix's boat skills that he said he'd put it a good work for us with Alan. And well, we were promoted to Captain. It was a very good day for me. Also that day. We invited Kuja to join Tornado Squadron because
he showed some good raw talent in a boat and he got promoted to Officer.
So I guess it was a good day for a lot of people.. apart from GRN, they got very anoyed.

LOL, I was thinking about that too... Well, actually what I was thinking is his specific wording... using the word "most"... I'd say Ghost Pirate's reign had to be the most glorious- noone can compete with him.

But nontheless, Alan's reign has to rank up there among the greatest... I know he did better than me, as well as others who were around my time... The sad part is that it'll be difficult to have someone match up to him- and noone wants things to go downhill

Imposible, countless years has it been, but im sure reasons are good for this. This shows beyond a doubt GK is decaying, I have no story to post but the overall joy of accomplishment Alan has shared with CP. You've been a good leader to all your members, given equal oprotunity to everyone, you have been a great friend to most, if not all, who have come to meet you and for that you have touched us all.

True, ye've been a good 'un through 'n' through, but it ain't enough ta just say it and be done. Ye've got a lot ta brag abou'. Who else woulda hunted down those scurvy currs Etien and Kefkin ta get a missus' booty back ta her safe? Who woulda gone to the length ya did? Ya cut out 'is bleatin' heart, man!

And ya even got us all ta shoot 'im ta death.

But ya weren't all blood and bruises, Guv. Ya was a regular civilized gent when ya wanted ta be. Ya might fight and say yer all pranks 'n' mischief, but I saw you got a good 'ead on yer shoulders fer keepin' tings in line and keepin' the peace.

But when it was all good and settled, ya got right back on with the pirate life, never givin' us a dull moment.

Ye've never refused to help, been kind to ever'one who wasn't at yer throat with a cutlass, 'n' ye've watched over the best kingdom in the land. We won't forget ya, and we hope ya have a jolly good sail, wherever the wind and water will take ya.

Wow.... not really alot to say to describe my thoughts at this moment, mainly shock and surprise. You were not only a great leader to CP, but also a great friend to me, you will be missed by the entire CP and others outside of CP, Farewell and good luck with any problems that face you, hope you become satisfied with life and enjoy every minute of it.

P.s. Too many great leaders in CP to decide which is to be the next Gov, I'll leave that difficult decision up to you.

Farewell Alan. I remember being friends with you before you were Governor, and even then you were a great friend, always have been. Though I do feel as if you leaving will tear a huge hole in all of GK.

There's to many stories for me to choose from. You always helped me, and you set such a great bar. For everyone to try and be as good a person as you.

I will wish you veyr much, and I wish you luck in life.

Like l told you in the game, you were a great leader, l will miss you.
You were also a very great friend. You were probably king since l joined
the kingdom, we had a lot of good and fun moments together; kingdoms war, kingdom event.
You always helped me when l needed your help.You teached me the role-playing when l was newbie, you trusted me and made me Commander when Sam resigned. l thanks you at all .
l hope you will come sometime in the game and l wish you good luck for your future.

My favorite story has to be one of not too long ago,

With Bosh reeking havok with his reign over Zormite, with the 3 Kingdoms of Dustari, Forest and of course, Crescent Pirates, teaming up to form a tripple alliance and completely decimating his army and any allys that would bare his chaos to be enjoyable.

We fought that battle with one of the greatest leaders I have known, Alan.

With a nice celebration Pirate style at the end of course.

One of the few wars I was active for. lol

I was quite fond of " The great samurai & dustari attack on zormite" I think it was, basicly it was Cubes, Nate and Semi vs. like 10 CP, 7 forest and 5 zormite members. While "Dustari"(Tig and John) Watched in P mode, or atleast out of the way.

My favorite story's were:

When Zormite Rebellion attacked Forest and Me and Fayt were the only 2 ships out there and we stopped all ship traffic from getting on land and joining the fight. And Ricky was on land knocking back Boch's land force.

And when Me and Fayt sailed to Zormite to sink Drakeero and Uri who kidnapped Marion. We sunk them within a matter of minutes and i hoped they would have atleast give us a good fight.

I've got another story to tell.
It was my first boat battle against Raziel.
And I got to tell you, it was my hardest batter yet. It was one of his "Sink Raziel" events. I was already sailing around, so I thought I'd have a shot And I was the first person to show up. So the battle began. And it must have lasted about 10 minutes (not long, but against Raziel I think it's a good time)Well at the end of battle. He sunk me and I must have only hit him 2 or 3 times.
He was still on 97% at the end of battle.
He truely is the best.
