Mm, "Bounty Hunter" idea.

A couple days back, I was thinking about all the times people like Rykuz complained about being on the same team as someone with a high bounty. Seems like we could use a bounty hunting system, doesn't it?

I've tried thinking of a good way that this could be implemented. The best I could come up with is a server guild (Probably called "Bounty Hunter" or something similar) that could enter any planet's map freely, without being on a team. Someone could pay a certain amount to have a player "hunted" on a map.

Of course, if the wrong people were allowed in, then they would lame people on both teams to hell, obviously presenting a problem. That'd be why it would have to be owned by someone who would hire people who wouldn't do that. :P

Comments and/or ideas?

I know that, but Zone actually has a bounty system, whereas on Era it's more like "lol i hate this guy kill him for me cuz i sux."

Maybe it can only happen if its a 100+ bounty?

I thought I put that in, but I must've taken it out. Regardless, so long as the person kills only the person who they are supposed to, it wouldn't be much of a problem. 'Course, it's not like there's an overflow of Zone players who would only kill one person when they could kill everybody. :P

getting a 100-150 bounty is easy, so probly 250?
anyways i think the bounty hunter system would be awsome

Yet i have no idea how we could go around the team killing thing. I guess that it should be made possible to be "Free lance" on every planet, as in not on a team, enabling you to kill everyone. (But you wouldn't be able to win on any planets)

1. there should be a trade place for people to hire bounty hunters
2. This should be like a guild only some should be accepted if abuse get kicked for like a month
3. when on tag ur all alone even another bounty hunter can kill you
4. Bounty hunters when on tag should have a list of the poeple who has the top 10 bounty, tell whats there bounty, whats there account, and where they are. alos dosint matter what there bounty is, as long that there in the top ten.
5. For the anti jetpack wepon, may i suggest Dantes wepon that kinda looks like a harpoon?(it will gound them and give them 20 dmg)

Ive bin posting for a trade center for ages on zone. A simple "/Give (Ammount) (Account)" code could revalotionize zone, not only could you give your friends money in there time of need, but you could use your money to:

Pay for Bounty hunters to kill someone you hate

Hire mercanerys to gaurd you

Give donations for/to join(ing) guilds.

Bribe staff to look the other way

Mercenaries sounds awesome and bribing staff made me laugh.

For the hiring part there should be a special tag on when hire, if the player is on team gurads cant egt hurt by the same team, this wont work for DM or spar, thats just cheating...loli think staff getting bibes is a bit against the rules XD
oh one more impotant thing only p2p can trade with other p2p, so no trials will go "can i have money plz"

Well that would take more coding, where as 1 simple code code that enables giving cash could do it all, there wouldn't be need for tags and stuff, and the people you pay to do your gaurding could actually turn around and say "Ha, fooled you!" and run off with your money.

Uh... I like the "Bounty-Hunter Idea", Its just their are too many complications, What if someone from the other team attacks the bounty hunter!? How would the bounty hunter find the "Traget"? Or would their be a pulsing dot in the direction of the "Target"? And, What if the other Team loses, Would the bounty hunter be warped to the dropship?

Also, I like the "/trade <amount> to <account>" thing, That would have no harm.

Finally, I disagree with the Free Lance everywhere thing, The reason being, It would be a slaughter for someone with Proxes, They could kill anyone with them, and that is not hard when their are 40+ people walking around.(I am speaking of Iricia.)

Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft, what I forgot to put in is that bounty hunters would (or should) have a special class(es).

That's really all there needs to be done about it. If someone abuses their job, they get fired. Easy as that.

And no to the trading stuff. Just don't like it much...

No..just what a bounty hunter would need. Some gas grenades, pipes, apps?, sabre, and some other stuff.

.. Could be but i was thinking more like, who ever reachs a rank like Elite is invited to join the BH guild, people can donate money to the guild in order to kill someone, whoever finishs the contract gets the money, plus the bounty they noramally have

No, no, no. It would be a small server guild with permanent members, not temporary ones. Of course, that's assuming that the hirees don't go overboard with their job.

I think only the people that have reached elite+ should be able to become a "Bounty Hunter" if it were a class. This way you know your getting someone that knows how to play the game. Rather than trying to hire some third class player, that dies to easy.

There are enough players with Elite rank who just dont have any skill.

Bounty hunters I liek the idea. The fact that i dont have to lame for the money to get a wep is cool <-<. I coudl just kill someones bounty and get money from the bounty and the person that wanted that guy dead.. I think to stop from getting scammed ( You kill the person you get no money from the guy that you got hired from )There shoudl be a center that you put down the guys account name and the money you woudl pay for him to die and that money is taken from you. When the guy dies the person taht killed him gets that money.

And a trade center would be nice -.- I woudl like to USE A LF D:

I was watching DOG The Bounty Hunter yesterday. They got hired to capture out this drug addict. To find him they asked the community. Maybe have it so we have to ask REAL players on where they are? Like maybe Jo could tell me where Davidd is so I could find him and kill him.

O_o if you know the bounty and account, all you have to do is press F7 look at name wih mouse and voila it tells you where the person is :P

That's ruining fun and you can't tell where they are on the map exactly...say I'm looking for you and I see you're on Iricia. I can ask for someone to find out where you are. Maybe you're in a corner hiding how would I know?
